Guest guest
No telling but how creative & touching the series was done. Just thought I forward this as one of our members on the list (Louise) knows Barbara Doyle who works with her son , whom wrote this post below. Here is the site that Love Hewitt had announced at the end of the show, http://www.thehelpgroup.org/ Posting as is from Barbara Doyle: Thought some of you might be interested in watching this show as it will include autism, from what I understand. Here is what I got from B Doyle, autism consultant and author <http://www.asdatoz.com/> http://www.asdatoz.com/ Hello friends and family. Some of you know my nephew Tom Iland and the rest of you have heard me speaking proudly about him for his 22 years on this earth. He is going to appear on the TV show Ghost Whisperer this Friday night. The theme of this episode is about people with ASD. Tom auditioned and was selected. He had a wonderful experience working with the star and the crew. If you get a chance, please watch or tape the show for future use. His part is an " extra " but it has created many happy memories for Tom. Barbara Doyle ________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi all! I just got done watching the episode of the Ghost Whisperer. Its subject was about Autism and it was so moving. I would give anything to know what my daughter is thinking and going through. I wonder - what do you think happens to the soul of a special needs child when they pass? I mean do you think they stay the same once they make it to the light or they become like us for lack of better words? I once watched Montel and he had Sylvia Brown on it and an audience member mentioned that she had a metally retarded child. Sylvia Brown said that the womans daughter is an advanced soul. What the heck does that mean?
Guest guest
, I watched the Ghost Whisperer also and it was very moving and disturbing at the same time. When we die we are free from the body. Our souls are not captive of a disabled body they are free from whatever ailments,or disables us.You can go to the CBS website for Ghostwhisperer and ask questions. I saw this last night. I tried to go to the website for autism that they mentioned at the end of the show but I must have got it wrong. Do you remember what the website was? Cyndi > > Hi all! I'm curious about the Sylvia Brown book you are talking about -- do you have the title?? My husband said that when was diagnosed with DS (at 4 months old) that these kids hold the secret to life. It's the rest of us who are struggling, trying to compete and claw away at each other to find success and happiness. Maybe it has something to do with the " advanced souls " . who knows??? Guest guest
Hi , As someone who is familiar with Sylvia Browne's books, she was referring to our children as being advanced souls because she believes that they chose to come into the world with disabilities. She believes that they make this choice out of love to help teach people about compassion, patience, love etc...and that when they die they return to the " Other Side " the " Light " as whole and magnificient souls. In fact, they are some of the most highly advanced souls which is why they can endure such a difficult life. I personally find this very comforting and a beautiful way of seeing our kids. Hope this helped to answer your question.
