Guest guest
I came down with a bacterial pneumonia about three weeks ago. ( Not pcp ) I have been told by a Doctor ( not my own ) that this can be difficult to clear and that some people take two to three courses of antibiotics to finally clear the lungs of the problem. Does anyone have advice on how to deal with this illness other than rest and drink plenty of fluids. I do not want to have this thing drag on and on and I certainly don't relish the idea of more antibiotics. ( I have done one course already) Dealing with pnuemonia is not a great thing to have to deal with. I would stay on any antibiotics that your dr prescribes. I have dealt with pnuemonia 6 different times and it is not pleasant. It is going to take up to 6 months for your lungs to start feeling normal. Rest and liquids is about the only thing that you can do. If you try to do any kind of strenuos activity its going to hurt. Echinacea is contraindicated with some types of HIV meds. So be careful FRANK
