Guest guest
My comment: Oh my, Alison Singer HAD to resign from Autism Speaks because she just couldn't bear that ONLY 98% of the funding went toward Autism research focusing on causes other than vaccines; what a ridiculous premise for leaving! Really?! My daughter is about the same age as her daughter, both were diagnosed with " severe Autism; " both undertake similar ABA therapy regimens, but mine also participates in a biomedical program including a special diet (gluten-free, casein-free, soy-free, artificial-free, pesticide-free, chemical-free, GMO-free and organic) and nutritional (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, probiotics, enzymes and more) supplementation. My daughter has skyrocketed from " in-educable " at 5 to academically on-par with her age peers with full, robust language, and reasonable social skills. Her daughter may well have been born with faulty genetics, but my daughter suffered a serious neurologic event after her DTaP, HIB, HepB, and IPV, at just over three months of age, which left her with permanent damage to her hippocampus, frontal, and temporal lobes, epilepsy, mitochondrial dysfunction, hypotonia, GI dysfuntion and more. Her daughter doesn't sleep – mine didn't either until we implemented the biomedical regimen. Her daughter had language at 2 (albeit echolalic), my daughter was considered non-verbal until she was almost 5. There seems to be a consensus that Autism has always been around at the rate of 1 in 10,000 and while this may or may not be entirely genetic, research to distinguish this small minority should be performed; however, my daughter represents the overwhelming majority of the massive rise in " Autism " diagnosis' (somewhere greater than 1 child in every 100). Despite the fact that there is no such thing as a genetic epidemic which can occur in a single generation, 98% of the research is performed to identify a genetic target. This story is intended to bias the target audience against the majority who are clamoring for research which compares health outcomes between ENTIRELY unvaccinated populations with health outcomes of populations which followed the CDC recommendations for vaccination (currently recommending upward of 30 shots in the first 24 months of life, starting at 12 hours of age). The research touted as closing the door on the link between vaccines and Autism can not even disprove a link – this is not " science, " this is propaganda. This article appearing in " Nature " is, in one way, entirely appropriate – it is the nature of man to survive by any means necessary; in this case, to deceive the audience into funding MORE research to identify targets for pharmaceutical agents, encourage every family to partake of the vaccine kool-aid and assure PhRMA's bottom line. Alison Singer earns her living collecting speaking fees and teaching continuing education classes where doctors are indoctrinated in " A New Model for Communicating with Parents " to overcome their concerns about vaccines. As a mouthpiece for PhRMA, I am certain miss Singer has found a far more lucrative opportunity then the paltry $180K she received from Autism Speaks. Guest guest
Liz, your comment is fantastic!!!! I love it! I just don't understand why Alison Singer is the "voice for science" according to the main stream medical industry. She has absolutely no training in science. Just makes me laugh. I mean really is she the best they could find? To: EOHarm Sent: Thursday, November 3, 2011 10:56 AMSubject: RE: FW: Google Alert - paul offit (more tripe from Singer in the name of "Science"?)
