The last years were filled with a number of very intensive projects, but all the work was not for nothing.

As some of you may already have read on Lactnet...

I am nominated for the Dutch 2010 Breastfeeding Award! Yeah! )

I am thrilled about this nomination, that really means recognition for the work I have been doing over the years.

Winning the award is of course the next step I want to take and I hope you are willing to support me in that goal.

The text says:

"nne is the driving force behind many initiatives to still better support breastfeeding, within and outside of the VBN (Dutch volunteer organisation, MV).

She has a healthily critical/acute attitude, is full of energy and an active, tireless motivator! In all her expressions, as a co-worker of the VBN and as a co-worker of the Centre of Breastfeeding Knowledge, she provides informative and well readable texts and she creates a clear image of breastfeeding as the norm, the basis and starting point of caring for babies. She is a member of Ethics and International Code Committee within ILCA, the professional organisation of breastfeeding specialists worldwide, and in that position works on the ethical aspects of the lactation consultant profession.

nne is a mom to four daughters, lactation consultant IBCLC, editor/translator and runs her own private practice, Borstvoedingscentrum Panta Rhei.
