Guest guest
Hi, Not sure if anyone has any info on this topic, but I thought it would be worth a try. We are delaying vaccinations on our 22 month old son due to personal convictions about vaccine ingredients and a diagnosis of ASD in our older son. My husband's business is in the process of changing its health insurance coverage. Today I received a letter in the mail from the insurance company saying that I have to "Immunize {My} Child Today!" and have a form completed by his doctor recording all his shots and lead tests by April of this year. They also want all the dates of his well child visits (which he has attended.) It says, "Your child needs to receive all the recommended shot(s) by his second birthday." The letter seems fairly non-threatening, but I am not sure. Does anyone know if they can deny/discontinue our insurance coverage on the basis of non-immunization or late immunizations? Somehow it doesn't seem legal to me, but I am hoping to avoid any issues. Any help or referrals in this matter would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance Jennie in New York
