I am for sure taking D3.  I buy it myself and it was cut back from 5000 a day to

2000 a day as my D level came up.  But it is not prescription, just that she

told me to take it as over the counter.  Mine is from Kirtland (Costco) and has

soybean oil, Gelatin, Glycerin, Water, corn oil, caramel artificial color . cod

liver oil, vit. D3 (cholecalcterol).  Lots of oil I guess.  Says if pregnant,

nursing or on medications to check with doctor.  I do take meds but doctor

prescribed this for me to take.  I still don't know what kind of D3 this is.

Way to go !!!

Great Post

And I have one more thing about the Vitamin D from the sun. You can sit in the

sun for HOURS and still not get the D you require (if you have absorbancy

problems).

I know a mother of two children. She had her kids in the sunshine all day long.

They were so lethargic. She took them to the doctor who pronounced both of them

Vitamin D deficient. He prescribed the D2 (and the D3 is the BETTER form) but go

and tell that to the doctor.

Anyway, their Vitamin D level did improve. And they were given 50,000 units

weekly. As was my husband. His D level is now at 45 (up from 9)

But then again, the man rarely goes out because of his health problems.

It's ALL about how much one absorbs from what they ingest (or as the sun is

concerned) from what they are exposed to.

And learn about intrinsic factor. Find out what the level is.
