I saw the show. I caught the name of the weight-loss drug under someone's breath...... it was Alli (sp?). A friend of my daughter had taken it. Here's another side effect: You leake oil (fat) from the foods you eat from your bowel. How lovely. Apparently the Depends people are making money as well.

I was so pleased at how Dr.Oz spoke out against prescription meds in the name of pharma$ and the doctor from Harvard (I think) who was there to protect his other doc friends. I also heard Oz speak out against vaccines, which makes me wonder: why does he take a flu vaccine every fall in front of his audience? Maybe he's only concerned with kids' vaccines.

DR Oz had a show last week, discussing this very issue.One thing that the Guest DR's he had on the show mentioned, if you need to take a prescription medication, go with a generic medicine; because its been around longer and the side effects are usually less. More of the newer meds with serious side effects may have already been pulled off the market. ( except vaccines ..ugh).The DR's went on to say that Disorders/ Diseases are being created to sell more Drugs.And of course the Drug makers are not sharing all the data they find running Drugstudies; so many of the DR's have no clue how dangerous a medicine could be.One Drug was mentioned, a weight loss Drug, that has killed 13 people, it damages the liver, can cause kidney stones, and its sold over the counter so anyone can get it without a prescription! >> > : Dr. Healy Telling How Medicine is Pharma-Driven.
