That is AWESOME!!!! went into a brace at 15 degree and after 10 months of wearing it 23 hours a day, he was down to 8 degrees.Improvement can still happen. Especially on a smaller curve. Be strict on brace wear!!!!!CONGRATS!!!!!! TashaMommy of 4 year old twin boys- and Fort Worth, TexasSeries of 6 casts for 14 months and now in a night brace. is treated at Texas ish Rite Hospital. You can read 's story at....http://www.infantilescoliosis.org/stories.htmlFrom: jeannette McNally To: infantile_scoliosis Sent: Tue, February 23, 2010 7:24:21 AMSubject: Re: Rochester Casting February 22-24th

Caden is having his 8th cast put on this morning here at Rochester. Unfortunately the curve stayed the same at 14 degrees after cast was removed and there is still a small rotation of his rib cage. Dr. R stated that this will be his last cast no matter how the outcome because of his age.

Jeannette McGinley mother to Caden McGinley. Started at 54 degrees down to 14.

>We are going to be in Rochester the 22-24th for Cole's 5th cast. His last x-rays were taken after his 2nd cast and he was down to 18 degrees laying down and 30 degrees standing up (we started at 47 degrees laying down). we are now 2 more casts in and have just had a growth spurt so I am hoping for some great correction. Our casting doctor told us that once he is under 10 degrees laying down then we will move him into a brace. I am cautiously optimistic that this next cast will be our last one (though they have estimated 6 from the beginning).
