Guest guest
1) I usually use a 6Fr 36 " feeding tube. 2) I wish I could give you a good one, but my old stand-by's have all been recalled. (the round, bulbous, gel or saline filled, binky was my favorite). Nothing scientific at all here to back that up, by the way! They looked like this, except clear. I have many mom's who prefer the ones that are rubber and look like this though: <a href= " http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_F0yEiHzEaRc/SwLJMHy98II/AAAAAAAACnc/g4ahaQGT1Ew/\ s1600/baby_pacifier.gif " >pacifier</a> > > 1. I've been using Lact-Aid for moms who needed supplementation at breast, but I don't find it's always cost-effective, especially when I am often the one who ends up picking up the costs... > > I know some of you use feeding tubes... which size fr do you find is the closest to the Lact-aid? > > > 2. For those moms using pacifiers when their babes cry in the car during the first 6 weeks despite when we adamantly advise them not to... or for other rare therapeutic pacifier use... which one is the lesser of evils in your books? > I go with the Gumdrop pacifier, but lately I've heard LC's using other types. I know the " orthodontic " is preferred by some, though it can cause thrush b/c of the micro pores... the Soothie has come up too, but there are some differences between that and the Gumdrop... also the gumdrop has horrible advertising on their website -total code violations all over the place, pictures of happy babies using them, nothing on the site about breastfeeding, buy this, get 1 pacifier free etc etc... I don't feel good telling a mom about them... > > Is there a pacifier any of you dislike less than the others? Possibly one without multiple code violations and BPA free? > > I totally prefer clean human fingers... if not the breast. but for the moms who drive alone, can't stand hearing their babies cry and are going to use a pacifier whether we say it's a good idea or not... which one do you prefer? > > thanks! >
