We had to return ALL of our pump kits because Medela would not clarify lot

numbers affected. I posted this last week, and I am curious how all of you have

managed this because I know for us it has been a huge nuisance!

contain defects in the tray packaging. The defect in the packaging was

identified in a very small percentage of the sterile kits. The kits involved in

the recall include:

> 1. Symphony® Double Pumping System 67099S

> 2. Symphony/Lactina® Double Pumping System 67116S

> 3. Lactina Double Pumping System – 67094S

> 4. Universal Pumping System – 67093S

defect. As a precaution, Medela is asking that our customers return all

unopened stock of these sterile kits. Medela will cover the costs of shipping

and provide substitute products for the return of any recalled items.

> Please note that the defect was in the packaging only and none of the kit

parts are otherwise affected. There have been no complaints or reported safety

incidents resulting from the packaging defect. We are issuing this voluntary

recall as a precaution. This recall does not affect Medela breastpumps.

If you received a recall notification from us, please follow the instructions

enclosed.

product if it has been opened and used. Once the kit has been opened and used

for the first time, you should follow the instructions for further use that are

included with the kit.
