From solid sources , this information was announce this week at a meeting

community health services of montreal

that FOMBONNE IS LEAVING MCGILL & MONTREAL.

Secondly this departure is more than likelly related to a internal investigation

by the McGill Committee of investigation for research miscounduct in August 2009

..This action was instigated by the Research ethic officer Dr.MacKenzie .

Thirdly from a letter date January 15 2010 , From the President of the Review

Committee of McGill University Health Center , this document announces that that

this formal investigation resulted in recommendation , that where forwarded to

the McGill disciplinary Comittee .

Under standard protocol establish in McGill University " Regulation on the

investigation of Research Misconduct " The McGill Provost and the Secretary

General are required after 160 days to issue the result of the investigation and

present the academic sanction .

We are now at 230 days ,there has been repeated request under the Quebec Freedom

of information act since december 2009 .

McGill university official have maintained a position of refusing to respond to

these official request.

It is important to note , that these actions are contrary to

the ARS2-1 act , relating to document held by public institution .

This situation of McGill authority failing to pursue in a diligent fashion

academic involved in illicit activity is not just a single events, but is a

systemic problems that has existed for a number years at McGill university,

which is clearly announced in news articles written in the spring of 2006 by the

senior journalist Mne. Munroe associated to the CANWEST news group.

In two article publish on the 16th of March, 2006 in the Montreal gazette under

title " The million-dollars faker in medical research and " secrecy hindering

investigators ``, clearly announces the problem regarding illicit activity by

McGill academic, but more importantly highlights the questionable response by

university authorities to pursue matter in a diligent way.( Tab )

This situation is clearly affirmed in her article where she states : " The

document reveal that universities in some cases have let misconducts

investigations drag on so long researchers accused faking results or unethical

conduct had move on to new job or left the country. "
