Hello,

I hope this email finds you well!

First and foremost I wanted to thank each of you for your help and support of us and our cause, over the years. As you know it is a cause that is very near and dear to us. It is by no means a path we would have chosen to travel, but for whatever reasons, we are now part of the growing population of autism families. This road would be much more difficult if not for the support, aid and guidance so many have offered to us along the way. Our sincerest heartfelt thanks to you! If ever there is anything we can do for you in return either present or future, please do not hesitate to let us know.

I also wanted to extend our gratitude to you again concerning the Pepsi Refresh Challenge. http://www.refresheverything.com/usofautism Thanks to the efforts of so many wonderful individuals, including you, the documentary, "The United States of Autism," is becoming a reality in the very near future. We are so excited to see this film become a reality. It is going to be a huge leap forward in both aiding the understanding of autism as well as the acceptance of individuals with autism. Thank you. It means more to us than words can properly convey.

The production and film crew will be visiting Rock Rapids on June 30 and July 1. You may see them out and about in the community and even here at school. The crew for the most part is from highly populated, metropolitan areas of PA. They were curious about what to expect when they arrived in NW Iowa. We told them rolling hills of corn and beans, along with friendly, smiling faces and Midwestern hospitality, which is tough to beat. I know they will be pleased and perhaps even surprised with all that our small community has to offer. Especially when you consider that the production manager was of the mindset that a small town meant a population of 20,000. Our family is very excited to show ‘em what we’ve got and how very blessed and fortunate we are in our area.

I have no doubt it will be an extraordinary experience for all.

Thanks again for everything,

The Wessels

Mark, Lin and Sam
