Guest guest
you can try quercetin and get it at a health food store.. It's natural- helps, but doesn't get rid of our allergies-just lessens them To: EOHarm Sent: Sun, May 8, 2011 10:56:59 AMSubject: seasonal allergies My 11 year old is experiencing seasonal allergies for the first time. Very itchy eyes, swollen eyelids and sneezing. It makes him irritable too. He's on the SCD diet. Does anyone have any advice? I started him on local honey and nettle but those may take awhile to work, if they do work, so I thought I'd see what others have tried. I think it's tree pollen by the way. Many thanks.Barbara
Guest guest
I don't know where in the country you live, but here is something to consider. In states where it now reaches 50 degrees, so begins lawn spraying. Yes, already. I was really surprised to hear this when I was temporarily living in the midwest several months ago. They even had lawn services come and spray in late October because apparently weeds can fester under the snow????????!!!!!!!!!!????????? omg - I cannot believe the lengths to which these companies go for a buck. Seasonal allergies? I think sneezing, watery eyes and coughing are all forms of the body trying to detox something it does not like. My motto: Get rid of the THING and let the body do its job. Guest guest
My son was severely allergic to tree pollen. His eyes would swell up so much they filled out to his cheekbones, and would swell totally shut. He was on steroids years ago for it. We cleared it up with NAET/Bioset and homeopathy, and quercetin for management until the above kicked in (took awhile - it's a process, not a magic bullet). He gets a tiny bit itchy sometimes now, once in awhile but a bit of quercetin is enough to keep it at bay. When it was still bad we used an antihistamine eyedrop we bought OTC, in the allergy aisle. My kid is recovered, by the way. Lost his dx in November! > > My 11 year old is experiencing seasonal allergies for the first time. Very itchy eyes, swollen eyelids and sneezing.
