I would suggest BOTH "interviews" should be viewed back-to-back .. to see "advocacy journalism" in action.

Meredith Vieria's interview of Dr. Snyderman .. featured Dr. Snyderman proudly declaring herself an "advocate for vaccinations" .. stating the "hot pockets" of the resurgence of whooping cough is in communities like "Morin County .. where unvaccinated children .. or .. parents who decided not to vaccinate their children" .. reside.

Did Meredith ask "why" the parents of Morin County are hesitant to vaccinate their children? Nah .. this is NOT a question that an "advocate journalist" would ask.

Instead .. Meredith sat silent as Dr. Snyderman continued on .. to make the bizarre, yet, unchallenged statement .. that many people who don't vaccinate do so for "religious reasons".

So .. are we to believe Morin County parents are hesitant to vaccinate their children due to "religious objections"?

We will never know because Meridith .. the advocate journalist .. again .. never asked.

The same avoidance of inquiry can be seen as Meredith remained silent .. thereby allowing her professional colleague .. Dr. Snyderman .. to state her fear the return of "whooping cough may be the canary in the coal-mine .. last year we saw children die of measles .. and .. I worry if whooping cough and measles can come back .. polio can't be far away".

Left unexamined by Meredith .. why .. this generation of children suffers inexplicable increases in chronic autoimmune disorders .. such as .. autism, allergies, asthma, juvenile type 1 diabetes, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, ADD, ADHD, on and on .. chronic autoimmune diseases that were far less common in ALL previous, less vaccinated generations?

Admittedly, I am NOT a professional "journalist" .. but .... give me a break .. at least ASK the darn questions of someone who claims to KNOW, by HER own words .. that vaccines are "safe.. they work".

Think about it.....

Dr. Wakefield has done nothing more than ask public health officials to pursue research that would make vaccines "safer" .. such as .. giving measles vaccine separate from Mumps and Rubella .. and .. seeking a common sense, independent study .. of "vaccinated vs. unvaccinated" populations .. to ascertain if BOTH populations have suffered the same, inexplicable, dramatic increase in chronic autoimmune diseases the CDC .. not WAKEFIELD, JENNY MCCARTHY OR PARENTS ... reports affects 1 in every 6 American child.

In contrast .. Dr. Snyderman is allowed by her "professional colleagues" at NBC .. the opportunity to proclaim she KNOWS vaccinations are "safe, they work" without ANY comment by THEM .. deliberately ignoring the vast storage of information where vaccines have been PROVEN to be UNSAFE AND INEFFECTIVE.

Indeed .. the DPT vaccine under discussion .. has a history of being responsible for MILLIONS of dollars in vaccine compensation awards .. for severe .. life long .. brain damage.

So .... how about SOMEONE asking Dr. Snyderman:

Since parents are being blamed for the resurgence of pertussis .. why aren't those same parents being blamed for a resurgence in "diptheria and tetanus"? Why are we vaccinating our children against "diptheria and tetanus" if there is no indication failure to vaccinate will cause an increase in those two "preventable diseases"?

Does this lack of resurgence of "diptheria and tetanus" .. indicate those particular diseases should be removed from the DPT?

How about SOMEONE asking Dr. Snyderman if SHE believes HEP B should be given to newborn infants? Shouldn't SOMEONE ask her if HEP B is as "communicable" as are measles or whooping cough? How about HPV to girls as young as nine? Or .. adolescent boys?

Indeed. how about SOMEONE asking Dr. Snyderman if there is ANY vaccine she would remove from the recommended schedule of childhood vaccines .. such as .. rotovirus vaccines .. KNOWN to contain "pig viruses"?

Nah .. I don't blame Dr. Snyderman ... I blame NBC "journalists" .. such as .. Meredith and Matt .. who allow THEMSELVES .. to WILLINGLY .. participate in the SCAREMONGERING that Dr. Snyderman relies upon to pursue her .. self-proclaimed .. "advocacy of vaccines".

These two individuals ought not claim to be "journalists" .. they are NOT .. and .. they dishonor all those courageous "journalists" who proceeded them. Shame on THEM and shame on NBC for employing them.

and shame on NBC for making money off its drug company sponsors and I don't doubt at all that Meredith and matt are also driven by what NBC demands them to do.--advocacy journalism. They are all culpable.

I didn’t know anyone even watched MSNBC anymore...

They do a poor job reporting on many issues-not just the vaccine/autism thing.
