so why did you stop Tae-Bo the first time?

the reason I ask is because so many people who had good results stop and I

never can figure out why

maybe it was good you tackled one thing at a time too

who knows I jumped too hard and fast into my fitness quest and that gradual

changes would have been more effective

Welcome to the group! Congrats on wuitting smoking. Now I want you to prmise

me that if you dont make the 30 days ro mess up on the three days a week you

wont give up. Remember your body will demand rest on occassion!

I know the feeling :) When I quit last year I was amazed at how much energy

I had and STILL have!!!! Congrats on quitting :)

motivation.

BIG congratulations on quitting smoking and your TAeBo results last

year, I'm sure you'll soon be back into the swing of it, but be

carefull not to overdo it

Hello again:

Ok this is what I have done so far-From day 1 to 4 I only did the

Basic workout-From day 5 to day 10 I did Basic workout and 8 minute

tape. From day 11 to day 13 (yesterday) I did the basic, the 8

minute

and added 30 minutes in the treadmill. I feel good. I don't feel

like I'm pushing to hard because I feel great and not too sore have a

lot of energy etc. Today is day 14. I plan to start the advanced on

my 16th day but please remember I used to do taebo before. I'm not

new to this. And like you said this is a piece of cake compared to

quitting smoking which I did for 23 years.

I definitely had to take things one at a time. Quitting smoking was

hard enough for me. It was so much a part of my life and I still

can't believe I don't smoke any longer. I'm trying to put the same

determination that I put into quitting smoking into my workout. I'm

trying to substitute smoking with exercise :-). And I was a very

heavy smoker!!!! So now I should become a fitness addict as opposed

to

a nicotine addict.

Janette, that is a very sensible exercise plan. I'm sure you will

achieve your goals with that practical, gradual approach to things.

Thank you Elena. I am so proud of myself and I really look forward

to

my workouts which has never happened before. I used to see working

out as a nasty chore that had to be done to achieve a goal (loosing

weight) Now I see working out as a daily activity which besides

making

me feel good also makes me look good. Anyway, I don't know if I make

sense but I've never felt like this before but it feels great.

people! You have certainly come to the right place for support,

encouragement and advice as you move towards your goals!

Congratulations on quitting smoking, too! That is one huge

undertaking and I admire you for quitting. Also, congratulations on

all the improvements you've seen already since you re-started Tae

Bo! Way to go!!

Janette-

Wow! You are really something! I've been doing Tae Bo for almost 3

months and the Basic still leaves me sweating hard! I can't imagine

doing and advanced tape plus put in tread mill time! You go girl!

But, please be careful....I know you said you don't feel like you're

pushing too hard....listen to your body and slow down when

necessary! I don't want to see you burn out like a meteorite....I

want to see you SHINE LIKE A STAR!! ;-)

Hi Barry.

I've heard it said that time does not exist. If so, my computer is no

more correct than yours. That there have been just 2002 years, is it

true? That there have been any years at all? Who can say?

Work is not about self-blame, it is about finding the Truth.

Truth. The humility I sometimes feel in the turnarounds can be

so sweet.

Hi Tonya, I want to welcome you too and add to 's wonderful

words. I find the turnarounds, and The Work in general, to be a way

of expanding my awareness. There's no blame in it; rather a

dissipation of blame.

About your wishing to " release negative energy " - your words spurred

me to take " There is negative energy " to inquiry because I felt pain

upon reading them. My Work reveals that I held this belief also, and

my reaction to that thought is to feel unsafe and tainted. What if I

never had this thought? Energy would just be energy, if that...a

perception of movement, innocent in and of itself.

There's nothing really negative about anything when I approach the

" negative " from the stance of, it's here for my self-realization. I

felt hurt and angry a number of times this weekend during a

" spiritual " retreat and without this reminder to welcome whatever

comes up I would have truly retreated -- run away. This invitation

to

examine what's true transformed my experience; my turnarounds were

like a soft pillow I could cry into, and I could see the perceived

pain-inflictors as my innocent friends, teachers, guardian angels.

There is no negative energy.

There is positive energy.

My thinking about energy is negative sometimes.

(There is energy -- it is true?)
