Guest guest
But we don't have sexual exhaustion, we have PSSD right? Our problem is caused directly as a result of our SSRI drug use. I mean, they aren't the same thing, even if they have similar symptoms, right?st2nie wrote: >> Someone over at the sexual exhaustion board has fully recovered after > years of having the same symptoms as us. I really became inspired to cut back on the frequency from reading posts on this forum, and thus made a point to do so.""Listen to your body, keep your ejaculation frequency very low and don't watch porn when healing. If possible avoid masterbation altogether, and only have sex with women if you feel vital enough. Try to go several months or more without ejaculating if you are really weak. I, Blueshark and others have demonstrated that reducing ejaculation (and in Blueshark's case avoiding it altogether for over a year) is very important to healing. I've said these many times before and I will continue to say them, these things are important to getting your life back. "The guy says he took breaks from masterbating (ejaculation/orgasm) for a couple of months at a time. This is what I've been doing for the past couple of weeks and intend to continue for up to 3 months. In my opinion my low libido means that my body is telling me it doesn't require sex due to low levels of something (which I don't know yet). I'm hoping my body can begin to heal itself if I give it a chance by not ejaculating for say 3 months. This group is for support, discussion, or educational purposes only. Guest guest
Hard to know for sure, but it's a huge coincidence that we all have the same exact symptoms. The end result can be achieved in various methods. It seems that lots of the people on that board watched porn and jerked off way, way too much, whereas we took some pills. Maybe the two routes led to the same destination? Whatever the case, who cares as long as we find positive results. If you check the herbs he listed, most are natural aphrodisiacs and sex boosters, as well as overall health boosters. I see no harm in taking them, and would be much more comfortable taking herbs than any man-made medication that f*cked me over the first time. He also mentions that they are not temporary, but actually heal the body. This provides a ray of hope, although I won't believe it until I see it. And for the total price, maybe $100 or so, it won't be that expensive to experiment with. Shay B Fleer wrote: > > But we don't have sexual exhaustion, we have PSSD right? Guest guest
I wouldn't ignore what the guys at the sexual exhaustion group have to say, but once again, our problem is caused directly as a result of SSRI use. although the similarities, I think PSSD is a whole different game than the sexual exhaustion. I was around 4 when I discovered that it is quite pleasurable to play with my penis. At that time ofcourse I had no idea whats all about, but all I knew was that it was very nice.I started masturbating daily and as a teenager increased to several times a day or simply having sex in my late teens.Since that early age all the way through age of 27 (when for a very first time i took an AD pill) I never experienced any reduction of desire or sensation or decrease of any sort. The entire sexual experience being having sex or masturbating was always always good.To me would have never made any sense doctors suggestions like 'you are depressed that's why you have sex problems' (and I've had serious depressions since age of 16 that never affected me sexually) neither would make any sense the sexual exhaustion. It was always the pills and that's where my focus is today. Within 2 weeks after I started effexor I lost sensation in the penis.Even so I continued engaging in sexual relationships. In the beginning of the 3-rd year on it,me being 29/30, I actually started loosing my sex drive..and that's where the true hell began..quiting the drug was hell..finding about permanent damages and PSSD was hell..still looking for the solutions to the drug complications is hell not to mention the depression itself that is also looking for its solution.. back to the point though.. since this very early age when I discovered the sexual pleasure to this very day and I'm 32 now, even after loosing my sex drive,I've had very few days in which I haven't had a stimulation of some sort..and those days that I've missed are because of circumstances.. it is just this need in the back of my head, a healthy habit that was making me nothing but happy for so many years and eventually being screwed up by ignorant doctors and pills ( I would have rather died from my depression than having this if I only knew).. and yet even so being screwed up I'm still craving it..My mind remembers the pleasurable habit and wants to continue even though theres no or little response from the body..its weird as all here have experienced.. sometimes I was even wishing if it my mind could just agree with my body and just not want sex anymore maybe then I'll be ok and just give up and forget about it and move on.. but unfortunately it doesn't work that way..so yeah its a tough one..we got to keep searching for a solution,we just have no choice.. just to mention, of course the overall experience of sex with a partner is a lot better than masturbating..but that's how life goes sometimes you are with a partner sometimes you are not.. but when it comes to the 'body-sex' experience its something that's always there I mean you react to stimuli to your own hand stimulation similarly to your girlfriend's vagina you ejaculate you enjoy it etc.. you very well know with or without a girlfriend if your body is functioning sexually or not..if everything is ok or not.. mu psychiatrist recently told me 'how can you tell really if you are not functioning well sexually since you presently don't have a girlfriend'?..well, you just do! ..what do you say to an ignorant doctor that says PSSD doesn't exist..apparently nothing..you move on and search for answers somewhere else. anyway..had nothing too important to say today..just wanted to share some thoughts and experiences. Guest guest
There are million ways to die, but the end result is we end up dead.... there's multiple ways to do many things. Sexual exhaustion, PSSD, whatever... the symptoms are the same, despite how we arrived in our situation. All we can do is keep trying everything. Money is just money. It can't buy happiness, or can it? I'm pretty sure that if I bought some herbs and fixed my sexual problems that I would be pretty damn sure that it can buy happiness. Just gotta try and find out. Sakasa, focus on one problem at a time. Fix the depression first, so that you can regain your living and be able to focus 100% on fixing the rest. Guest guest
Dear Shay, I agree that we can definately learn things from others who have similar symptoms. I just don't want the bullseye to be taken off SSRI's. They are absolutely what did this to us. While I totally agree that the people with PSSD and sexual exhaustion could share the same problem source, they could just as easily not. I know that I for one have never heard of someone in their twenties losing all forms of sexual functioning from whacking it to much. Just because I've never heard of it doesn't mean it isn't possible or doesn't happen, it just seems WAY more likely that it was the drug I took for four plus years that is well known (amongst us anyway) to cause all those problems. But you're right, the best we can do is give everything a try and keep an open mind. My only fear is that (and I know this was in no way your aim or point, this is just off of my head) this might provide doctors or others with another thing to blame instead of the SSRIs. On a pleasant note, I spoke to my therapist today who told me she believes it will not be long before these drugs are prescribed much less, as health care professionals seem to finally be listening to and considering the truth about SSRIs. Maybe she was just trying to make me feel better or patronizing me, but she has always been very honest with me so hopefully there is some truth to it. Acceptance would be the first step towards them working on a cure.Shay O'Neil wrote: There are million ways to die, but the end result is we end up dead.... there's multiple ways to do many things.
