Guest guest
Be carefull taking ginkgo is you take this with aspirin or any other prescription blood thinners.Ginkgo inhibits blood platelets from sticking together and may cause gastrointestinal bleeding especially if you have stomach or intestinal ulcers.I found this out first hand and it landed me in the e.r. and had to stay for three days undergoing blood transfusions two pints and several introvenous bags of fluid. Guest guest
Your experience sounds horrific Darren. Thanks for giving me the warning. I'd read that ginkgo can thin the blood, but I didn't make much of it because I don't take meds, not even aspirin. Since I changed my diet I don't get pains or headaches. This is a good example of how seemingly innocuous things like plain ol'aspirin can affect the system. It's perhaps good for others here to know, who are taking substances that affect their bodies. When you step away from ingesting things that are native to the body like food and vitamins, then you have to be careful. Herbs are often the next best thing to try, but I think it's important to know what you are doing. .
