Guest guest
Hi, Jo Ann, When you step on Dr. K's scale, the one that prints out a ton of information, one of the things it tells you is now many calories you need to maintain the weight and BMI you are at. That was news to me! He gave me a printout of all the printouts since my initial consultation. Guest guest
Sandi et al; When you go next time, tell the assistant who weighs you that you would like a copy of all the printouts. They Xerox a copy before you go in to see Doc. Jim PS Of course I get everything, I'm a GOD! LOL PPS, In class today, , one of the kids in class, had a t-shirt that I couldn't quite read. So I asked what it said. He straightened up, pulled the shirt down, and it said: H E R E I A M What are your other two wishes. I want a shirt like that!!!!! But, he is young and very cute, and I'm old and very fat. Wouldn't work on me. LOL RE: Re: Jim NO FAIR!!....Jim get's EVERYTHING!.... Guest guest
Hi Mellie! I know what you mean about the gas masks looking smothering. I can't stand an oxygen mask on my face -- it makes me think I am being smothered! Our poor troops who have to move around in those things -- well, my prayers are with them. Guest guest
Hey Guy, Check your scales with another scale. I showed a 2lb weight drop on my scales and went and checked it against the one I had been using at Kmart, and I was surprised to see a drop to 314lbs. Today I reweighed to see if it was a fluke, and got 315....Still a drop to 62 lbs lost. I have also cut carbs to almost atkins level, but not quite(Ate cornbread one night, and a sandwich the next). Increased the protein. I am wondering if you wouldn't be better to try and get your protein in the way of food and not rely on the liquid stuff? I am worrying about you and thought about not posting until after you had seen the good doc, but thought maybe I could give you some encouragement. Here's hoping a little lasix will catch you up with me.....LOL. Guest guest
Thanks , I saw my GP (sorry PCP) last Wednesday. According to his scale I am 337 which was pretty much what my spring scale told me. That means 30 pounds in almost 5 months total. I was up 25 pounds though until I stopped eating anything except salad and drinking the pre-digested protein (not protein drinks), walking 3+ miles per day, and doing the exercise bike 2 hours per day. I might as well not has the DS with all this exercise and only minimal weight loss. I need to find out about the Paso water aerobics, but don't know who to talk with about that. When I see doc on the 22nd, I'm really going to push hard fro the pani, particularly after reading his post to (who was it on this list?) the pani question. Thanks for caring, you and the others on the list too. Jim Re: Jim Hey Guy, Check your scales with another scale. Guest guest
Jim I am absolutely overjoyed and delighted that you are now 'on track'!!! Your BMI drop is great! I was so worried for you and now it looks hopeful!! But you seem depressed mate...try and focus on the good and what the future holds..Would you have imagined going to water aerobics pre DS?? If not, then that is a milestone in itself. You will get there!!! I have a good feeling about it! Hugs Kristy
