Guest guest
These descriptions of the mothers' histories and persistent pain reminds me of a woman who lived a couple hours away from me that I too had gotten to the end of my regular ideas with. We had had some relief with all the regular tips- but then wham! the pain would be back. Mom was up for coming in to see me and we made arrangements for her to meet me at my magic handed therapeutic massage specialist's office to whom I do send lot of my babies for cranial work. As it turned out this mom had, in my massage friend's words, one of the tightest chests she had seen/felt in a long time. She worked on this mom in the area above the breasts, closer to the armpits, on both sides but mostly on the more painful side, doing some deep seemingly broad pinching movements, basically massaging and moving the bands of muscle that had become very tight instead of fluidly moving. My guess is the temporary relief mom had had with some antibiotics and pain relievers had reduced the inflammation somewhat, but not enough to calm down all the affected areas (not infected- affected). The mom left with a wonderful level of relief, follow up was some stretching movements to help keep those muscle bands relaxed and open. It was one of those voila moments.
