Hi this is from mid-sept and it did make the rounds of the internet.` They pulled the rug from under the feet of Dan and Mark(on purpose)

Maurine,

What did you mean by your comments in this regard? I am wondering, because a teacher at our school board (albeit retired) posted the info about . Is it worth sharing, or is it a "no go zone"?

Just wondering, and wanting to do the right thing,

Aasa

Hi

we have all seen it. It was posted on all the sites(including this one) in the middle of september when The Age of Autism by Dan and Mark came out--most likely to belittle the marvelous book. The needlepoint was a joke.

Cheers, maurine

I was just wondering whether was the same person who also had some arthritic problems which were solved by some sort of gold therapy. Was his father involved in some sort of study which used some form of mercury?

Aasa, you can also still get the original article " Mercury

Rising " where Dan Olmsted discovered and wrote about .  The thing

about the Atlantic article is that the authors claimed " they " are the

1st ones to find him, which they know is false.  And they tried hard to point

out that he is still on the spectrum.  But they never discussed how much more

severe he was before the gold salts treatment for Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis

and the huge improvements he made afterwards.  The authors of this Atlantic

article actually were credited for great investigative reporting from another

news outlet for their 'discovery'.  No one ever gave credit to Dan Olmsted and

the article came out the day after Mark and Dan's book to try and undercut it.
