Why now?

I'm still wondering about the timing of the BMJ article. I heard someone

suggest it was to take attention away from the dead fish and birds. Maybe.

Here's another thought. Maybe now is the time chosen in order to prevent deep

analysis of Lipkin's " definitive " study finding no association of MMR with

autism. I've heard some very good criticism of the study, especially the

overreaching conclusions. Lipkin has been chosen by Fauci to do the

" definitive " study on XMRV. I personally question why Lipkin was chosen to do

this study because of what I know about his jaw-dropping handling of the live

measles in the gut study. Was he chosen to find no XMRV and put that theory to

rest like he did with the measles issue? Anyone who tries to rehash Lipkin's

conclusions or to question his bias or honesty will look like a fool now that

Wakefield has been thoroughly trashed. No one will listen to this line of

thought. It also comes right after four studies were published in retrovirology

attempting to set up XMRV as a contamination issue.

People in the CFS world do not want to hear that Lipkin is anything other than a

knight in shining armour. I brought up my concerns on a cfs site about Lipkin

as the choice for this research and never saw my post. I'm assuming that the

moderators just didn't like it, but I still wonder what else might have happened

to my post.

Just wondering.
