Gentlemen,

Excuse me for jumping in here but I maintain that since

A-no entity or any kind can experience what has not happened and

B-we are manifestly experiencing all the time

we are, ergo, God's experiencors.

What say you?

Most cordially,

Mazza

Dear Val,

I had one NDE (drowning) when I was a kid. Probably learned a lot from it

but I maintain that logic can take anyone a long, long way to understanding

(different from experiencing). Check out my websit (www.logicaljoy.com) and

note the Preface to (she gave me permission) and the links to The Work.

Ain't life grand?

Iblix,

I love this piece by Ken Wilber..I read it when he first published it in

Shambhala Sun several years ago...My thoughts about philosophy don't apply to

something that directs attention as Ken's words here do..I agree this is am

example of pointing out instruction as its called in Tibetan Buddhism...My

comments were directed not at words that direct attention but at words that

suggest content for thinking such as " Reality is like this " or " Enlightenminet

is so and so " Or " Our true nature is such and such " ...

I'm no gentleman - but thought I'd respond anyway . . . .

, your statements reminded me of one of my favorite passages from

" Lessons from the Light " by Ring. It's a quote from a NDE'r named

Mellen- Benedict:

" The interesting point was that I went into the Void, I came back with this

understanding that God is not there. God is here! That's what it's all about.

So this constant search of the human race to go out and find God . . . Got gave

everything to us, everything is here - this is where it's at. And what we are

into now is God's exploration of God through us. People are so busy trying to

become God that they ought to realize (Mellen was obviously not into BK at the

time - ed.) that we are already God and God is becoming us. That's what it's

really about. "

Best,

,

There is a precedent for the use of logic in the way I think you are

suggesting...In Tibetan Buddhism, there is a tradition called Madhyamika, which

is a form of logical examination/analysis the results in non-dual

conclusions...I studied it in school and could probably find the names of the

texts if you're interested (I've forgotten them)...I do remember one of them had

commentaries by the Dalai Lama. You might even do a search on Madhyamika and the

Dalai Lama and turn it up...

wow...how cool. I loved this passage and wrote down the name of the book,

I'm going to try and find it because this really spoke to me. I'm the

jealous one just to remind you...and where Ring writes, <<And what we are

into now is God's exploration of God through us>> well... I have to realize

that I'm not going to find my true self in the swimming pool or the house or

the car.

thank you for your post!

p.s. sorry about my email to my pal Amy, I sent it to this address by

mistake! I can just imagine you all reading it and wondering....what the

heck is that about? my apologies...

I wish I could. I don't specifically remember what I wrote. I do remember

enjoying the discussion and was having fun looking at my

judgments and reading others.

Sorry

Dear theslaw@...

Would you amplify your remarks please? I'm not sure of what your demurrer means.

Cordially,
