We went to a DAN doctor in Cleveland (4 hours away for us) who we liked who

specialized in preventative medicine. He did secretin infusions and allergy

testing for our daughter. We liked him but found somebody closer. We didn't

know it at the time but the allergy test he did isn't available in New York

State so we were really glad that we went to him. Otherwise we'd be doing

the gfcf diet now knowing that she's allergic to and intolerant of 22 foods

totally!

I'm not sure if this info is still accurate since we went there in 7-8/99

or if you'd go to Ohio but here it is anyway:

Dr. Derrick Lonsdale

Preventive Medicine Group

One King South

24700 Center Ridge Road

Cleveland, OH 44145

440-835--0104

I know that the lab info is accurate. So here's the test he requested and

the lab he used:

IgG Standard Food Sensitivity Assay

ELISA

Immuno Laboratories

1620 West Oakland Boulevard

Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33311

Good luck!

What kinds of doctors do you take your kids to? Is anyone on a diet

other than the GFCF diet? What are DAN! Doctors? Should I be getting

food allergy testing done?

Thanks,

In my opinion, I would rather be seen by a doctor that has been trained by

mehta. We go to Chicago Shriners and we are very, very happy. As I said before,

Chicago has the mehta table and Mehta herself has been there. I have become very

good friends with other moms on this forum who also travel to Chicago and none

of us have any regrets. I understand feeling comfortable with a doctor, you just

want to make sure you are getting the best care you can for your child.
