Guest guest
Sounds like the washer should be ok but I don't have a clue about the dryer. May be you could call someplace that sells them and ask what could be done. Perhaps a good cleaning with the GSE inside and out would help. Wash some towels and sheets with whatever you use and them run them in the dryer. May be a laundy place would have some ideas. I recall my daughter saying (when she was in college) that they would come into clean the washers and dryers about monthly but I don't know with what. The laundryroom is seperate so it has a door to the outside. The door is open and we ran a hot cylcle after cleaning it, with vinager, baking soda, let it sit for 15 minutes then GSE in the rinse, another 15 minute sit. Not as bad now, thoguh it still has an odor of detergent. I had not seen till now but it is a steel tub with ceramic coat, I think it should be easier to detox?? It was recommended buy my plumber. Found it at the grocery store and Sears. They also carry the same brand for dishwashers. Worked well for me and I ALWAYS leave the door open after doing a load of laundry. Sorry, don't know what to tell you about the dryer. Sue R. Guest guest
Someone else was doing the cleaning for me so I did not see until after I posted it was a steel tub with ceramic, it has a sticker from manufacturer that says that. Still has odor.  What I am trying to do is rid it of odors which irritate us.   God Bless !! dragonflymcs Mayleen ________________________________ From: " ssr3351@... Guest guest
Good News,   I have been checking the dryer which was outside, affraid it had perfume scents in it. It does not have any. I faint smell of clorox and I do mean faint, so we have brought it in. TG we have a washer and dryer now. My 2 trips to the laundry mat gave me an infection and more.  I had been hand washing and for health reasons could not keep up.  This was such a blessing to us. I know many with MCS who have had to turn away donations due to the fumes from scents. It appears no one ever put a perfumed dryer sheet in it. The washer is much better.  Thanks you all of you who responded !!!
