It is a fake tree.

I'll have to check out what kind of purifiers they are. I don't know much about them. One I know has 2 filters, a regular filter and a hepa. It doesn't say anything on them, I'll have to see if I can dig up the books.

Shirl,

I am assuming this is a fake tree, right?

Next question, what kind of air purifiers do you have? Do you have one to create negative ions and one to create ozone?

Subject: Allergies

I've developed allergies because of my implants that I never had. They only bother me in April, May and June....and when I get my tree out, which was 2 days ago. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do about this? I'm somewhat of a clean-freak, I've got 2 air purifiers and a humidifier in my house. It's dust free most of the time but this Christmas tree thing really gets to me. It bothers me until I pack it up and put it away. ...hoping for some suggestions. :(-Shirl-

In order for your air filters to be the most beneficial to you, you should have one that is an Ionizer, which creates negative ions in the air, and one that is an ozonator, which purifies the air with ozone. I think if you had these two kinds of air purifiers, it would give you the best advantage from anything in the air.

You can find out more about these two kinds of filters on the Internet. Here are a couple links that may be useful:

http://www.surroundair.com/

http://www.air-zone.com/

http://www.peakpureair.com/

Another way to go is the fill your house with houseplants that clean the air. My house is like a jungle with all the plants I have in it. There is a book out called "How to Grow Fresh Air" by Dr. BC Wolverton. NASA did some studies which showed that certain plants are capable of removing toxic chemicals from the air. Fill your house with these plants, and you will have a definite advantage!

These are listed from the most effective down, the top twelve plants for removing toxins in the air:

Areca Palm (Chrysalidocarpus lutescens)

Lady Palm (Rhapis excelsa)

Bamboo Palm (chamaedorea seifrizii)

Rubber Plant (Ficus robusta)

Dracaena "Janet Craig" (Dracaena deremensis "Janet Craig")

English Ivy (Hedera Helix)

Dwarf Date Palm (Phoenix roebelenii)

Ficus Alii (Ficus macleilandii "Alii")

Boston Fern (Nephrolepis exaltata "Bostoniensis")

Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum sp.)

Corn Plant (Dracaena fragrans "Massangeana")

Golden Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)

I think it definitely has mold spores in it. I wasn't sure what to use on it. You don't think chlorine will damage it? I thought about disinfectant but I was worries about it possibly being flammable.

Is it possible the tree has mold on it? Where do you

store it?

Would it be possible to wash it down with a clorine

rinse? . . . dry thoroughly before bringing into the

house?

Ya know, I am beginning to wonder if I have allergies to

mold. My symptoms started when I got ton, SC,

and continued to worsen when I got to Seattle. I hear

so many stories about that toxic mold, and these stories

have all occurred in climates where it is very humid and

moist. Now that I'm back in Denver, my allergy symptoms

are diminishing greatly. I will be curious to see if

the dry climate here will improve my health.

'Definitely you need to clean the tree. Ozone will do that, but for now, you can stick it out in the sun for several days or a week, and let it air out. I think the sun will kill mold spores.

I just bought it 2 years ago and paid A LOT for it. :) I always put my tree up early, I love Christmas. I have a large collection of ornaments and love to display them. It's a real big hobby of mine.

This is interestin because I never had allergies all my life either

until I got implants, it was right after my surgery before I got sick

that I suddenly had all these problems and went to the dr and came

home with all this stuff nasal sprays and pills for allergies, it was

awful, itchy eyes and sneezing all the time. Anyhow I ended up

getting so sick that the allergies seemed to go on the back burner

for awhile there, but after the implants came out my allergy problems

seemed to go away too, and now that I am here in Idaho where it is

very dry climate I have not had any problems, other than the dry skin

and dry nose that comes with the dry climate.

Shirl if this tree is causing you problems maybe you should just get

a new one, also why put it up so early, my heck it isn't even

thanksgiving yet...LOL.

I am waitng to put up the tree...besides I will be in CA for

christmas this year.

I would really think about getting a new tree and also remember if

you have chemical sensitivities these fake trees may be worse that

the real thing.

Good luck

Well if it is making you sick I would be careful because it isn't

worth getting sicker.

Good luck to you,

Do yu take anything for this problem?

Did you ever find out if your Dr had pictures of your scar capsules?

Still wondering if you have something inside you that is keeping you

so sick. Hopefully in time you will get some relief from your

symptoms.

Blessings to you,

I have taken Alegra for allergies and it worked really good and never

had any side effects at all, my 15 year old step son takes it too and

it seems to help him, he has bad allergies, maybe try it ya never

know.

Good luck,

You asked him not to take pictures of you, or of the implants and

capsules when they came out?

I know you believe that he took everything out, but what if he didn't

and that is why your still so sick Shirl?

have you thought about it at all?

I don't want to upset you I am just concerned for you, and for your

problems.

Most of us have gotten better after explant, though of course not

everyone gets cured it is unusual that there is no improvement at

all. Unless there was, as stated before, gel leakage beyond the

capsule or severe shell degredation which would normally take years

and years.

I know you also said you took your implants home, I am curious did

your PS suggest that? Did he tell you that you should have them

analyzed and tell you how to store them?

It surprises me that they would tell you to take them home and not

tell you to have them analyzed, also were they cleaned off when you

got them back? That would concern me as well, since Patty and e

both told me that the implants had bits of flesh and junk still on

them, anyhow I am not trying to upset you as I said, I am just worried

about you and want you to get better.

Are your labs all still normal? I know you mentioned about having

radiological changes in your joints? What did these show? Did you

have regular x-rays or bone density scans or what?

Anyhow hope you feel better someday and please, try to think about

calling Dr Feng to see what she thinks about the possiblity that you

have some retained capsules in you. Maybe she has heard of your PS

and can ease your mind or something

ALright I will stop my rambling here I do not want to be annoying.

PS have you ever tried acupuncture? I get it and believe it or not it

is paid by my insurance, you can do it too if your ins covers

chiropractic, you can have them do the accupuncture and just bill you

for adjustments, that is what my Dr here does and I only pay ike $10

a visit so it is worth it and helps allot with pain.

Love,

Becoming " allergic " to tobacco smoke was the first

symptom I had after my implants. Then came scented

products, chlorine, petroleum and cleaning products.

My allergies were controlling my entire life! . . .

Actually they were multiple chemical sensitivities.

All the medications I took for allergies really didn't

help! They did dry my eyes until the corneas tore

though!

My sensitivities gradually disappeared after getting

my implants out! That was one of the bestest results!

BTW, whenever I was exposed to something I was

" allergic " to, I also became depressed and fatigued.

I looked a mess - red eyes, red runny nose, sore

throat, chest pain, coughing, etc. They " randomly "

checked me for drugs three times in one year.

So much for feeling better about oneself after getting

implants!
