Guest guest
"For the CDC to strip it out and create a "de facto" mandatory testing approach without that component is just more right wing sleazy indifference to human beings and our lives. Kinda the crap one would expect from an administration that rejects science even as it embraces an anti-human psycho scumbag like Rumsfeld or Dick Cheney."Well, since we can all agree that those folks can't be trusted, that point needs no further discussion, and the political appointees at every level of government are hacks who care more about gay marriage than good FDA policy, too.Still, it appears that the spread of the HIV epidemic in the gay community is the direct result of people not knowing their status. HIV infection certainly does continue to carry stigma, but it doesn't carry a death sentence.Large numbers of men still wait until they get PCP to find out about their diagnosis- at risk of death.I believe "normalized" testing could decrease new infections and deaths from pneumonia.
