Guest guest
you need black and green to for KT - you can add a little bit of Roosibos to the brew- but the majority of tea needs to be black and some green. FYI is roosibos caffeine free? gretchen In a message dated 8/4/2012 3:34:49 P.M. Guest guest
Green tea is nothing but black tea picked at a younger stage. You need 50% black tea ( which includes black, green and white)camellia sinensis is what you look for this is commonly referred to as black tea. I have used Rooibus up to 25% with good results. Some time back someone reported using 100% Rooibus with good results, but it was questioned whether that brew was actually KT. Suggest keeping your Rooibus Scobys separate from all the rest to avoid possible contamination. Yes Rooibus is caffeine free and it adds a wonderful flavor of its own. zoe ________________________________ To: original_kombucha Sent: Saturday, 4 August 2012, 16:35 Subject: Re: Re: question on teas to use you need black and green to for KT - you can add a little bit of Roosibos to the brew- but the majority of tea needs to be black and some green.
