Guest guest
I'm just thinking out loud here. Should we ever consider initiating contact with an IBCLC colleague to inquire or report a concern, to see if they might appropriately respond before we extend a report to our certifying agency? Or do we just initiate a report to the agency? I'm not sure, and when I ask myself this question, I feel conflicted because sometimes I feel like my answer would be Yes, initiate contact with the colleague first...and then in other circumstances I feel like my reaction tells me NO, absolutely not, go straight to the certifying agency and file a report. As we've been discussing this over the course of a few days it has occurred to me more than once that if we wanted to post this to Lactnet the hive would be buzzing over it...and we would get lots of feedback about what would be an appropriate response, perhaps including Liz ....and then again....I don't always find the Lactnet responses constructive, clearly I'm not sure...
