I am definitely guilty of lurking ... will try to become more active ... have LOTS going on in our home ALWAYS! I am from Pensacola, FL. I am in a funk right now ... just lost one of my angels ... Nikki 23 yo daughter ... she has been very ill for past 2 years ... due to a stroke caused by a medication she was taking ... just when it seemed that she was coming back to me ... she made that journey to heaven ... She passed in her own bed, at home, for this ... and ONLY for this am I thankful! I cannot seem to get past the "OMG ... I cannot believe that she is not here stage" For 23 years I have loved and cared for her ... she was the inspiration behind my desire to adopt ... Now ... I am lost ... I miss her each and every second of every day ... My heart is missing my sweetness ... Nikki earned her angel wings on the day she was born ... she learned how to use them on Aug.1st 2008 ... I am sorry ... it has been an emotional day ... I am wifey ... to Bud ... Mom to 26, (son-in-law Blue) 19, Kristyn 18, na 10 - ADHD, Reactive attachment Disorder, OCD, Drug Exposed, Autism 9 - Down syndrome, OCD 9 = ADHD, Drug & alcohol exposed, Complete Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, 27 week preemie Ricky 8 - Autism, OCD, Drug exposed, Reactive Attachment Disorder, speech issues Tori Beth 7 - Liver disease, Portal hypertension, Esophageal Varicies, ADHD, Drug exposed. 28 week preemie 6 - Down syndrome, autism, hypothyroidism, ASD/VSD, epilepsy Princess 6- Down syndrome, repaired A/V canal, epilepsy, autism Ethan 4, Down syndrome (translocation) Emma 3. Down syndrome (mosiac) ASD/VSD, Epilepsy and of course ... my angels Nikki forever 23, Epilepsy, CP, autism, Stroke ... forever 4 ... Down syndrome, autism, epilepsy, OCD and Nikki are mine through birth ... and the rest are mine through the miracle of adoption ... hugs from Florida ...
