Guest guest
Hi Margaret, Your questions are very thought-provoking for me. I have come from a background of lots of different kinds of therapy (to work on ME)...and I am a counselor myself. I think all of it had value. I have recently had a thought that keeps coming to me: Yes, I believe that it is possible that our cells hold this emotion and programming. Anything is possible. But I wonder who told me that I have to hold on to it, or 'process' it for a certain amount of time in order to heal...Just maybe it could be released in an instant, and I just believed that I had to 'go though it' for a period of time. My personal experience with doing the work has shown me that I can feel emotions (how do I react when...) and then the next time I have the same thought, it may not bring up the feelings, or at least not as powerfully as it did the last time. I guess what I am trying to say is that maybe we hold on to old 'stuff' because we were told to, or we believe we are supposed to. It appears to be my truth. Guest guest
I forgot to add that yes...I have (and do) had the experience of shaking and very intense physical reactions while doing the work too
Guest guest
Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers, everyone. My father passed away this morning. I believe he is in a better place, but my heart is aching. Josh has been really sick with the flu and is still sleeping, so I haven't told him yet. I hope he handles it okay. Despite all he's been through this last week (ear infection, wisdom teeth out, the flu, and worried for grandpa) his OCD has not flared. I'm hoping it still doesn't with this news. It's a sad day here. BJ

Guest guest
I'm so sorry, BJ. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I lost my father tragically 2 years ago and miss him every day. Love, Dina
Guest guest
> BJ, So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. My thoughts are with you and your family. From everything I read, Josh is strong and has a lot of support. We have a tendency to want to keep these kids in a bubble, free from harm. Unfortunately, they live in the real world and have to go through what everyone else does. It sounds like you've prepared your son well. Take care of yourself too, Terry > Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers, everyone. > > My father passed away this morning. Guest guest
BJ, I'm so sorry for your loss. There are no words to ease your pain. But I will pray that you find comfort as the days pass and you draw on memories to keep your father near to you. > > Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers, everyone. > > My father passed away this morning. Guest guest
Thanks for the hugs, Chris. Just needing to keep my mind busy and occupied. <:o/ I was worried the sickness, which typically sets Josh off, along with the other stuff would cause things to flare, but they didn't. . Thank God! I just don't know if either of us could take that right now. Hope I'm not counting my chickens here though. . . . I know what you mean about some small, illogical thing setting the OCD off. .The unexpected. Been there too. Happy Easter to you too. ) Hugs, BJ

Guest guest
Thank you, Dawn. It is heartbreaking, but knowing my Dad is in a better place now, sustains me. No more pain. . He's home with our Lord, and he's free. We will grieve, but with joy for him too. Hugs, BJ > > BJ, > My prayers are with you.
