- I don't know if you have tried the SCD diet plan yet, but MANY have found huge success in solving/healing their children's digestive problems by using this VERY specific diet. Check it out - I hope it helps!!

Someone sent me your e-mail from DSTNI to see if I could help your friend with her son's GI problems. had severe GI issues too and no GI Dr seemed able to help at all... lots of nasty things happened that led me to put her on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet and the improvement was nothing short of miraculous!! In simple terms the diet is comprised of ONLY monosaccarhides. All simple sugars that don't require any work to digest. This allows the gut to heal and produce more of the digestive enzymes needed to digest foods. She was 100% 'legal' as they say in SCD for three full years!! It is a lot of work, but it was worth every single moment in the kitchen!! She is now able to have Bryer's Ice Cream, candy and taste other foods that are not legal- though we have not crossed the wheat barrier-yet... was thinking of letting her try and see what happens...point being, that this diet HEALS the gut. I don't think she will ever be able to go back to eating more disacharides than mono's because her gut just doesn't seem able to handle them in large amounts. And honestly , this diet is so much healthier in the long run and now it's second nature.Any questions, I would be glad to answer. I left DSTNI a little over a year ago cause i just couldn't take Dr L's nasty attitude towards parents and his foolishness and started a new list... see below. We are almost 400 strong now!!!
