Hi All,

I have an opportunity to work for in a midwife/OB office. The practice has 3

docs and two midwives. The midwives have a cute little office and want me to

work there.

I am trying to figure out the best way to get reimbursed.

Option 1: have them do all my billing and I get a 50/50 split with their

business. I don't pay rent on the room space. For now use my own equipment

Option 2: get a hourly rate and don't worry about billing

Option 3: get a minimum hourly and split billing 20/80, 40/60 or something

Bottom line I do want to make some money and am not sure what would be the best.

I'm in CA and years ago I did home visits for a doc and she billed something

like $175. Most insurance paid and I got 60% or something. However it would

takes months before I got paid.

Any ideas?

Many thanks for helping me think this through.

Best,

Star Siegfried
