Guest guest
Gave one to a client to try and she loves it! Sent from my iPhone Just recieved my professional sample of the "Milkies" milk saver. THis simple little plastic piece is placed into any bra or snug tank and when nursing on the first breast, capture the milk that would naturally drip into a breastpad, you then pour it into a bottle. Quite an ingenious design as I currently see it. can even attach a disposable milk bag to it, turn it upside down and milk now flows directly into bag. Mothers tend to collect .5-1.5 oz on average, without having to pump. Mom washes sturdy soft plastic piece and allows it to dry, ready for next use. Have any of you had any experience with this product? I learned about it from the new book on "Balancing Breast and Bottle" Dalton
Guest guest
I've known about Milkies since ILCA last year and was intrigued, but I kept hesitating to order it (ANOTHER " thing " a breastfeeding mother " must have " ???) Anyhoo, a mom recently showed up with one. She'd been using it and liking it. However, it was contributing to her oversupply and plugged duct issues. Pressure...continuous leaking...hmmm. Sounds like a great idea. I'm sure it can be handy for some. But something I want to recommend? I'm not sure. Curious about others' experiences. Guest guest
I think it is really practical, I like it. Although I would be concerned to give this milk to a baby for regular feeds as leaking milk is usually the lactose rich foremilk.
