Guest guest
I loved my peg perego triplet stroller, very expensive but great, you need a big car or you will have to take it apart. The Green Family Update Ok here goes: We have a son, with Aspergers syndrome age 11. is having a wonderful year. We are homeschooling him this year and his anxiety level has dropped to almost zero. The change in him is amazing. He still hates history and English but at least he only grumbles about it now instead of gouging his skin with his fingers. Our daughter, Caelia (ds) turned 6 just a week ago. She is growing up so very fast. She has taken the role of “big” sister very seriously. It is cute to see her try to feed and dress our newest daughter, Valeria (ds) who will be 6 on September 2nd. Valeria is learning English very quickly and thinks the world revolves around and her Daddy. We have discovered that she is a little monkey and loves to climb up, over, through or under just about everything. And our big announcement: we will be adopting another little girl from Russia with ds. Her name is Masha, she will be 2 on December 23rd and we hope to have her home before it snows here in Minnesota. Anyone have recommendations for a stroller that holds 3 – 2 of them heavy little girls? Guest guest
Thank heavens for minivans! I really would have thought that someone would have come up with a triangular stroller (2 in back/1 in front) My Caelia is 65 lbs and my Valeria is 45 lbs and if the photo of Masha is anything to go by – she will be a big girl too. Guest guest
I was shocked to see that you were adopting again on your blog! I was so exited for you. It is wild how your two daugthers look so much alike.I think my oldest son has Aspergers, I did respite for a month where a 18 year old with aspergers stated in the home I supervise. He was a carbon copy of my son. I wish there would of been more knowlege of it when he was younger. He is now 24 and living with his bio mother. He is a great kid, but it was difficult raising him because I didn't know what to do for him. Ok here goes: We have a son, with Aspergers syndrome age 11. is having a wonderful year. Guest guest
Gayla, it was a surprise for a lot of people. We had been approved for 2 children with ds but, unfortunately, the other daughter we hoped to bring home was terminal and we could not bring her home – would never have forgiven us for her death. He is very sensitive and very soft-hearted – it would have devastated him. We were not looking for another until we saw Masha’s face. To be honest, we would not have been adopting so soon, if Lera had not adjusted to our family so easily. Aspergers is really hard. We were at our wits end and incredibly frustrated until he was 9 and we took him to be diagnosed. Once it was diagnosed and you know how to react to his behaviors, he is a great kid and really amazing – just don’t let him start straightening the shelves at Target or you will never get out! Guest guest
Your girls are heavier than Meghan, and she is older. LOL, she just weighed in at 47 pounds at age 7 1/2. Kara weighs 27. weighed 17 pounds a few months ago. So all three of mine will weigh less than your two! Meghan always has been a tiny little gal. Guest guest
Nothing that I touch stays small. My husband has gained 40lbs in the 14 years we have been together. My kids have always been big. was always tall. He will be 12 in July and looks me square in the eyes. Caelia weighed 27lbs at age 16months (but stayed that size for 2 years). Oh and did I mention that the orphanage staff kept asking me how I lost so much weight? Another reason to never take another photo of myself. Guest guest
LOL Sheila, we are heavier than most folks because we have large bones, but Meghan has smaller bones than the rest of us, definitely shorter bones...I lost weight in Ukraine, but did not have much trouble putting it back on once home. I liked all of the walking we had to do there. Kris We leave in ONE WEEK for Estonia!
