Guest guest
Yes. I started Wellbutrin 3 days ago. 75 mg tablets. I cut them in half. So that's 37.5 mg daily. But instead of TRT, I am taking Clomid 50 mg/daily. No serious side effects from Wellbutrin yet. But it is definately suppressing my overactive parasympathetic. If I do not take Wellbutrin I get severe nasal congestion and tightness in the chest. As for the Clomid, since I started taking it my testicles have increased in size and I feel more confident, but I am also experiencing a nasty side effect of depression. Thinking of reducing the dose to 25 mg. > > > > DIAGNOSIS > > > > Parasympathetic Exhaustion > > > > > > > > SSRIs caused an Acetylcholine and Dopamine deficiency. Guest guest
Excellent, how did you decide to take Clomid? (how long have you taken it, also 3 days??) I am really interested to hear how you will feel in some time! --- headsaregonnarole wrote: > > Yes. I started Wellbutrin 3 days ago. 75 mg tablets. > I cut them in > half. So that's 37.5 mg daily. Guest guest
Hi! I like your theory...it makes some sense! But where have you find this theory? Your doctor? Or Internet? Also, Why are you taking Clomid instead of TRT? I mean, it's not exactly the same thing... How is Wellbutrin going? What about raising dopamine with a natural herb like Mucuna Pruriens? Also, Dr. Lin (actionlove) (i know it may be FAKE), but he says our problem is that because of a Serotonin defiency, we are in fact stressing too much Dopamine (in sexual activity for example), so too much Dopamine converts to Noradrenaline, and this causes a Dopamine defiency. He views the Serotonin as it can make preserve more Dopamine from stress or sex. So, i don't know what to think, what would be better, taking Wellbutrin, or taking Serotonin? I mean, not taking an SSRI, but instead taking natural Serotonin (5htp). Dr.Lin the problem is that SSRIs increase Serotonin only temporarly, and that after leaving them, your Serotonin production remains low, but now without the help of the SSRI on receptors, so you end with a Serotonin defiency, and this causes too much stress on Dopamine... What do you think about it?? > > > > > > > > DIAGNOSIS > > > > > > > > Parasympathetic Exhaustion > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SSRIs caused an Acetylcholine and Dopamine > > deficiency. Guest guest
this theory is new to me, never heard SNS and PNS but sounds very convincing. Im starting to think most of our recepter are just dead tired. Maybe this explains why my urine neurotranmitter test showed epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine, serotonin all being low. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/SSRIsex/message/4225 did anyone try the test ? > > > > > > > > > > DIAGNOSIS > > > > > > > > > > Parasympathetic Exhaustion > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SSRIs caused an Acetylcholine and Dopamine > > > deficiency. Guest guest
Started Clomid 4 days ago. I had to quit TRT because I was felt like I was suffocating on it. I think my parasympathetic is so exhausted that I could not handle the dopamine surge that I got after applying the T gel. It suppressed my PNS too much. Also I read that TRT suppresses pregnenolone. Pregnenolone plays a role in the release of acetylcholine. So what I think was happening was the T was suppressing the activity of the PNS and also blocking the release of acetylcholine, and that reduced the sensation in my lungs to point where it was difficult to breath. Then around the same time I find out my estrogen is outrageously high at over 300. The T was getting too high and that caused it to convert to estrogen, and the estrogen gets so high that it begins to occupy the testosterone receptors in the hypothalamus, and this tricks the brain into thinking that enough T is being made, so it shuts down the production of T. If I had known that I never would have taken TRT. But of course the doctors never told me these things... because they don't know what they're doing. So there I was depleted of neurochemicals, exhausted, and what T I was getting from the gel was being counteracted by the high estrogen. IOW, TRT was making everything worse. So I go read up on these body builder forums about how to restore your natural T, and find out they're all taking Clomid. Clomid will block estrogen from binding to certain receptors, and this causes the brain to beging producing T. So the plan is to take clomid to bring back my natural T and dopamine to support T and suppress the parasympathetic. I'll let you all know if things start to improve. > > > > > > > > DIAGNOSIS > > > > > > > > Parasympathetic Exhaustion > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SSRIs caused an Acetylcholine and Dopamine > > deficiency. Guest guest
Ok, i understand the theory, and the PNS is responsible of Erections. BUT, why if we need a stronger PNS we have to raise the SNS? I mean, if we take Dopamine, we will have a stronger SNS. I don't think our PNS is overactive. If it was overactive, we shouldn't have problems with erections! So, if we want to increase the PNS, shouldn't we have to increase Acetylcholine to make it more active? Or another option is to calm the SNS. I mean, we may have an overactive SNS, and in order to calm the SNS (noreadrelanine) we may need to take Serotonin to reduce the stress transmitters (noreadrenaline), and also take something to increase directly the PNS (something to increase the Acetylcholine). I mean, we could have both SNS and PNS too low. But we may have only the PNS low, because PNS is responsible of erections. So, if we want to raise the PNS, i'm not sure the solution is to raise the contrary: the SNS... I know Dr.Lin from ActionLove may be a liar, but he also says that we should calm down the SNS in order to improve our PNS to have better erections. They say Dopamine (and testosterone) is responsible of Libido, but it is not responsable of libido because of the Noreadrenaline (SNS).. So, i don't know what to think!! :/:/ About the blood test, i also want to have a neurotransmitter blood test to know my levels...It shows all your levels are low, even Serotonin... About Clomid, i suppose you are right. It may be better that TRT > > > > > > > > > > DIAGNOSIS > > > > > > > > > > Parasympathetic Exhaustion > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SSRIs caused an Acetylcholine and Dopamine > > > deficiency. Then again there are gender differents too. For me raising noreadrelanine (Norepinephrine) is paramount for libido and orgasm. So when I take Serotonin (SSRI) it steps all over noradrenaline - and therefore libido. Wellbutrin does nothing for me sexually. Dopamine may be a precursor but possibly in me I do not have the enzymes to convert this product to epinephrine... The more I dialogue in this NG the more convinced I am to take a smidgeon of Norpramin (say 10 mg) along with the SNRI and that should help. Those smothering sensations you refer to. Yes, men get hot flashes. I take TRT and T is great stuff. You may want to think about instilling something like that bit by bit into the body and work up to the dosage right for you to let the body get used to it and therefore the hot flashes would subside. I hate the cookie cutter approach to meds. It is that very approach that take folks off of TRT. Guest guest
Why do you keep mentioning Dr Lin? Don't listen to him! He is a LIAR! Besides, this is MY theory. Let's leave the lying snake, Dr Lin out of this. Anyway to answer your question, " why if we need a stronger PNS we have to raise the SNS? " You're right, we need to raise acetylcholine to strengthen the parasympathetic. But if we do that without also raising dopamine, then we create another imbalance, and the parasympathetic is now too strong. Then you will have side effects of shortness of breath, nasal congestion, diarrhea, and acid reflux which can cause ulcers. That's very bad, and it's all because our sympathetics are too weak to suppress the release of acetylcholine. What we want to do is strengthen the sympathetic, and that will slow the release of acetylcholine, allowing our bodies to replenish the levels of this neurochemical that has been depleted from SSRI use. Yes, we should take choline at low doses, but we have to be careful when and how much we take, because if we take too much then we will cause the parasympathetic to become dominant at all times of the day, and that will lead to exhaustion. I'm already there, and I can tell you it is no fun. You might only be in a weakened stage right now. But some day you might have much more to worry about than a low libido. What we can try to do is boost the sympathetic with the testosterone and dopamine during the day with your drugs of choice, and then at night take choline to strengthen the parasympathetic for better recuperative sleep. Yes, dopamine and testosterone are responsible for libido, but if your parasympathetic is too weak due to acetylcholine deficiency, then it won't matter because you still won't have the neurotransmitters to communicate tactile sensation to your brain. > > > > > > > > > > > > DIAGNOSIS > > > > > > > > > > > > Parasympathetic Exhaustion > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SSRIs caused an Acetylcholine and Dopamine > > > > deficiency. Guest guest
Yes, everybody is different. You might have other imbalances. I am just telling you what I think is happening to me, and maybe that will help others. Perhaps you're drinking too much caffeine in an attempt to boost dopamine. Caffeine will raise dopamine and acetylcholine, which can be good, but it will also cause excessive conversion of norepinephrine to epinephrine, leaving you depleted of norepinephrine. So maybe you had low dopamine, and that lead to low norepinephrine, and then the caffeine is keeping your norepinephrine from replinishing. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > DIAGNOSIS > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Parasympathetic Exhaustion > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SSRIs caused an Acetylcholine and Dopamine > > > > > deficiency. Guest guest
No, I'm afraid it is not hot flashes. I am losing sensation in my lungs. I've had breathing problems for a couple years now, and it just keeps getting worse. Maybe it is from acetylcholine deficiency or maybe nerve damage. See, after taking Celexa for a week 4 years ago, I began losing sensation in my genitals after each orgasm. A couple years later I begin having a burning sensation in my rectum and bladder. It has since gone mostly numb down there. Whatever was happening down there... it is now affecting my lungs. I think I remember reading something about acetylcholine and dopamine have neuro-protective affects. So I'm thinking maybe I have been so deficient of these neurochemicals that somehow it has damaged the myelin sheath in some nerves. This means permanant nerve damage. So basically I better find out what is happening to me and correct it quickly or I'm out of here. > > > > > > > > > > > > DIAGNOSIS > > > > > > > > > > > > Parasympathetic Exhaustion > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SSRIs caused an Acetylcholine and Dopamine > > > > deficiency. Guest guest
....but wellbutrin raises noradrenaline as well as dopamine, so i would have thought that would help.. > For me raising noreadrelanine (Norepinephrine) is paramount for libido > and orgasm. Guest guest
....you only took celexa for one week, and it has caused all of those problems ever since? i've never heard of low neurotransmitters damaging myelin - it's probably something else. vornan > > > > > > > > > > > > > > DIAGNOSIS > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Parasympathetic Exhaustion > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SSRIs caused an Acetylcholine and Dopamine > > > > > deficiency. Guest guest
Probably. Might be autonomic neuropathy. But I never had sensation problems until I took Celexa. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > DIAGNOSIS > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Parasympathetic Exhaustion > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SSRIs caused an Acetylcholine and Dopamine > > > > > > deficiency. Guest guest
" Acetylcholine is the building block for the body's insulation called myelin, which protects the nerves throughout the body. " Acetylcholine deficiencies can lead to some of the following symptoms and diseases: * Alzheimer's disease * Anxiety * Dry mouth and cough * Excessive or frequent urination * Inflammatory disorders * Inability to carry out motor commands * Osteoporosis * Reading or writing disorders * Multiple sclerosis * Bipolar disorder * Learning disorders * Mood swings * Memory disturbance * Attention problems * Impaired creativity * Impaired abstract thinking http://www.createvibranthealth.com/NT.htm > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > DIAGNOSIS > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Parasympathetic Exhaustion > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SSRIs caused an Acetylcholine and Dopamine > > > > > > deficiency. Guest guest
That web site is not correct. Myelin is made of mostly fatty tissue (phospholipids) and proteins. It's not made of actelycholine. So you got all of these problems from one week of celex? I'm not saying it didn't happen, but this would be the most extreme case I've heard of. Guest guest
Hi! Look, i don't know if Dr.Lin is a liar. Probably yes!...But standard doctors are more liars than him! LOL Well, about your theory.. What is difficult for me to understand is that you say that in order to achieve a stronger PNS we need to make a strong SNS. And the strong SNS will make us to recover some Acetylcholine from our PNS. But even supposing a stronger SNS can make Acetylcholine to be recovered, we may end with a weaker PNS. I mean, it's hard for me to understand that in order to make the PNS stronger we don't have to make it stronger, we have to make the SNS stronger instead... It would be more logical to think that in order to make the PNS stronger we should make it directly more stronger, or make the SNS more weaker (not more stronger). What do you think? Please convince me! hehe Also, what do you think about making both stronger? (raising Dopamine/epinephrine and raising Acetylcholine too) And what about natural serotonin (not SSRI)? Wouldn't it help to prevent conversion of Dopamine into NoreAdrenaline? (So, preserving Dopamine). Maybe taking Wellbutrin at morning and natural serotonin at night? Thanks! ___________________________________________________________________ > > > > > > > > > > > > > > DIAGNOSIS > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Parasympathetic Exhaustion > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SSRIs caused an Acetylcholine and Dopamine > > > > > deficiency. Guest guest
What??? Maybe you have a worse problem than PSSD. It is called bad manners. I'm really deceived. I thought everyone here is trying to help, improve and look for a solution... Well, anyone besides " headsaregonnarole " wants to talk and comment on PNS, SNS, dopamine, Acetylcholine...? Guest guest
We are making both PNS and SNS stronger by making the SNS dominant. when the SNS is dominant, the PNS is resting. Take for example... You have a really nasty day at work. For whatever reason you have been really stressed and physically active with no time to rest. When you come home later that day and rest on the couch you feel a very strong urge to sleep. Why? Because your SNS has been stimulated all day, so the PNS was resting during that time. So when you come home and relax and let the parasympathetic take over, it comes on much stronger than usual. Because you have strengthened the parasympathetic by stimulating the sympathetic. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > DIAGNOSIS > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Parasympathetic Exhaustion > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SSRIs caused an Acetylcholine and Dopamine > > > > > > > > deficiency. Guest guest
hey I feel very sexual right before I fall asleep especially after a heavy meal and you want to fall right asleep. so when this happens, PNS is taking over ? I found it odd that I would feel sexual right when Im very dazed and half consicous of trying to fight sleep. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > DIAGNOSIS > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Parasympathetic Exhaustion > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SSRIs caused an Acetylcholine and Dopamine > > > > > > > > > deficiency. So when I take Serotonin (SSRI) it steps all over > > noradrenaline - and therefore libido. - Not for me. Wellbutrin is a different animal and all I get is the dopamine boost. We all metabolize these drugs differently. My psych was not impressed with the sexual profile of Wellbutrin either for any patient of his. Guest guest
Yes, the parasympathetic is most dominant during sleep. Eating will also stimulate the PNS. This would be the time that your acetylcholine levels are at their peak. Dopamine will suppress the release of acetylcholine, which is why it should be boosted during the day. You suppress the release of acetylcholine during the day to save it for sleep. This way you will get a deeper quality of sleep to recharge the parasympathetic. If you are on TRT your T will remain high day and night and so will your dopamine. This will suppress acetylcholine at a time when it is needed for sleep. This also could explain why people on TRT, even though their testosterone is up, still have a weak libido. Their parasympathetics are being suppressed. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > DIAGNOSIS > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Parasympathetic Exhaustion > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > SSRIs caused an Acetylcholine and Dopamine > > > > > > > > > > deficiency.
