Hello all - my name is Heidi and I have already introduced myself, however, I am still looking hard to find any other family who has fraternal twins - both with DS. Our geneticist has indicated how rare this is, and I am just curious if there are any other couples out there in our unique situation.

I am also very excited to share that I seem to have reached some sort of milestone myself recently. My husband and I have been very fortunate to have his sister staying with us, looking after the twins while we work, and I have been talking with her more and more - and am almost feeling as though it's therapy for me at times. These last few days I really seem to have come to a real acceptance - and almost happiness for what is going on with us. Although I have always loved these boys to pieces - it's all of the sudden become much much stronger and I am so happy. They are so cute, and doing so well, and I am so thankful. They are 5 months old tomorrow - and I can't believe what they are capable of to this point. They are rolling over, reaching, laughing, grasping, kicking, "swimming" (in the air when on their tummies), smiling and talking. Does this sound normal

for this point in time? I just think they get cuter every day.

Happy Mom - :-)

Heidi
