Guest guest
Every HIV+ person should be vaccinated for pneumonia (PneumoVax) and Hepatitis A and B. The estimated duration of a Hep-B vaccine is 20 years according to the CDC, however there are many studies which demonstrate that the effective duration of vaccinations in HIV+ people can be substantially less than for HIV negative people. This is especially true for those vaccines which are received after you are HIV+. I have a PneumoVax, HepA and HepB vaccination every five years. Testing your current immune response to those diseases you were vaccinated against can give you some idea of your duration. But I would err on the side of caution. >> recently had quest hep a, ab n total test and result was borderline.. reg > range is non-reactive..
