Guest guest
:::puff::: :::puff::: :::puff::: :::drink::: :::drink::: :::drink::: Why is it that some days you can do a complete workout and other days your body just doesn't want to? I love BL1. I did this one today (finished just now), purposely giving it full intensity. About 5 minutes into it I knew I wouldn't be able to complete the whole tape. My shoulders were shouting " STOP " and my butt muscles were screaming, too... and we were nowhere near getting to the butt work. I knew this workout was gonna try my determination. I continued. Each move brought more screams from the muscles and joints. Good pain I grant you... the kind you're supposed to feel when you're working out. But I expect the burn after I've done a couple of sets... now as soon as I start! I swear I had to stop each move before they finished. I had to walk it out a zillion times today. I continued. After the last set of sidekick/uppercut combinations I decided to quit. Then he started on side leg lifts. I told myself to do it. I did it. It hurt the first time I lifted my knee. Then said " I told you it wasn't gonna be easy " . I just had to smile at that one and continue on. Then he said to get down lower and really work the thigh muscle. I did it. It worked. Again I had to quit before they did on both sides. Ugh! I did the front and back kicks. Those are pretty easy and they served to give me a breather and give my muscles a break while keeping my heartrate up. Then those Russian kicks which I love. Easy enough. Hurt more than usual, as did this entire workout. When we got down on the floor I knew I couldn't do it. Normal exercise burn is one thing. These butt moves took the burn to a whole nother level, so I just did some stretches, which felt *wonderful*, and quit. Maybe I'll try the buttwork tomorrow. What's wrong with me today? I don't get it. I feel great. I felt great going into the workout. But my muscles seemed to be raw or something. Hard to explain. Oh well. I did it, and I'm still in the 21dc. -- Sandy

Some days my arms feel like lead weights and I don't think I'll be able to do one more punch and I feel like I'm pressing pause all the time. Other times, I can get through a workout without any problem...who knows? I guess there are so many factors that go into it and our bodies get tired sometimes. I'm thinking this is going to happen next week after I haven't taken my day off that I'm supposed to take off tomorrow I'm just going to try and listen to my body and if I start feeling like it's really tired, then I'm going to back off and just do the 8 minute or Basic tapes. I did BL5 (still can't say that this one is one of my favorites) and the 8 minute today, followed by Voight's pure and simple stretch (which is like 35 minutes of stretching) because I was feeling a little tight today. It felt good to really stretch out right after tae-bo. I hadn't done the 8 minute tape for awhile and it was fun. Man, I still can't get over how much Shellie has changed. I hate to admit it, but I would have been a little scared if I had run into her on the street looking like she did in the studio tapes..lol. Does anyone else have any Voight tapes? Is it just me or does she need to eat a little more and put some meat on those bones. I don't think she looks healthy at all. I mean, she's all muscle and maybe she just has a small frame, but she looks all drawn in and her bones are sticking out all over the place. Maybe she's just built that way, but I think she needs to put on a little weight. Anyway, I got off on a little tangent there...what I wanted to say was...WAY TO GO SANDY! Good job pushing yourself, even when you didn't think you could do any more and for knowing how to push yourself to the limit without pushing so far that you hurt yourself who thinks Sandy is doing great with the 21DC and WW and can't wait to hear how she does at her first weigh in ( you do realize that you have a whole group of people who will be sharing your triumphs and your disappointments along this journey, right?) You are doing so great with all of the 21DC's. You are my role model right now due to all of your hard work. Elena

These are the days that count the most >(WW should alot different number of points for the tough workouts). I know I get an extra point for each 20 minutes *after* the first 20 minutes of exercise. My leader didn't mention this, and it's not in my books, but I think it's in the second phase. But I'm just doing the Basic now, so I wouldn't get any extra points for that. Hopefully by the time I start that phase of WW I'll be up to advanced so I can get 2 extra points for my workout! >You are doing so great with all of the 21DC's.
