ayes, it can cause mold in many different ways. If it is not cut 4 " above the

ground, it can wick water up behind it . If the house is stick built(wood) they

are notoriouse for molding, and even sometimes total deterioration of the

structure do to moisture build up. I am sure Carl knows all about stucco

great.... thanks, . I will ask them to check tomorrow. They tore down

outside walls around a good portion of the house and found mold on plywood where

the carport was .. unbelivably... angled to pool water up to the house.. they

took out about half the house from ground level to about 5 feet.. i hope this

means all is ok.

my father improved when they went to a hotel and now believes me that the mold

was an issue at 18,000 spores per cu meter.... i just leaned they also had sewer

gas coming up in the tub as well.

any additional info on fake stucco will be appreciated. the house is jsut a few

years old.

Robin,

By " fake stucco " do you mean synthetic stucco? Drywit is one of the brand names.

When was the house built?

Hopefully it will have the newer drainage plane installed so the moisture can

escape.
