Guest guest
YOU WROTE Jen taking one teaspoon of " Cod Liver Oil " in the morning about 6 week ago and we seen improvement in her vocabulary. She seems to be interest in Barbie dolls and she has been trying to play " Barbie " with her sister. She has also been feeding our dog biscuits. She now able to work the VCR machine without assistance. She is putting on her own diaper when she need changed. She is learning to put on her own socks, she seems to become very upset with her toes getting caught in the lip of the sock. After a few screams of frustration she manages to get all her toes in the sock and then begins the pulling of the sock. She pulls and screams at that sock, but eventually the sock is on to her satisfaction and she moves on to the other sock and foot. Is anyone also giving his or her child cod liver oil? Beverly Weakley Mom of Jen ... Autistic Girl age 11 years ______________________ Beverly, I had given my about 1tbsp a day for about a couple months last year when we were doing secretin. I thought we had seen some improvement but really couldnt attribute it to the cod liver oil. I want to read more into the research. Got any to show us? Guest guest
It took me two weeks before I thought I was sure I seen positive results in Jen with CLO. Jen has had a few colds in the last few weeks and each child is different. I don't think there is any magic liquid or pill for Jen, because she is eleven years old and she has missed out on so very much. Even if the CLO does work completely for Jen she has a great deal of skills to develop and information to learn. Best Wishes, Beverly Weakley Mom of Jen
Guest guest
I am still trying to understand this vitamin A deficeincy problem and Dr. Megson's theory. My daughter recently had a Fatty Acid Test done. I don't understand how to interpret it. Nothing says " Vitamin A " . Our DAN doctor, who we have only seen once since he is out of state suggested Ocudyne II. I just got it in the mail yesterday and it contains Vitamin A palmitate. Isn't that the kind of A we DON'T want? Would appreciate an explaination in layman's terms!! Thanks, Vicky
Guest guest
You definately do not want palimate A. Vitamin A is generally a certain combos of fatty acids, but I would have to get back on you at that, since I took extensive notes exactly what that is. It's all about the fuel we stoke our metabolic fires with, and one of those fuels is fatty acids. Another is carbos and proteins and even certain complex carbos called monossacharides. All of these things affect cellular behavior, how much energy and oxygen we derive from the things we eat and breathe etc. I have never heard of ocudyne, and as you know, Dan doctors sometimes can go off on unpleasant side roades (ca ching) that are not protocol or some theory they are working on or have studied about. Be careful with that...I have heard some dan doctors are under some scrutiny at the moment, I would definately get better to good credentials, make sure they are not having any law suits against them etc etc etc. I think Kirkamans brand or even twinlabs have sufficith my curiosity about palimate and how it turns off receptors. Guest guest
>The brand of clo that you were giving your child, did you verify it was relatively safe (as mercury free as possible)? If the clo was flavored, could your child be allergic to the flavoring? Perhaps you can try coconut oil.< It was Kirkman's bottled lemon flavored Cod Liver Oil. I assumed it was safe.
