Guest guest
I really think that is a good decision. I would give a couple of days notice if possible. That way you at least have a reference. If you need any help or advice job hunting let us know...but take a week for yourself and REST!!!!! But, if it's really unsafe, maybe you could just explain your concerns to them and let them know that's the reason you are leaving. It may not matter, but who knows? You have every right to be concerned and you have to do what's best for you and your family. Refresh my memory...you are a Psychology major right? What you might want to do is find a place where you could volunteer...maybe in the evenings for a few hours or even one night a week or something. If it's something in your field, you can use that as a reference, instead of the grocery store. A future employer will rather have a reference from something that is related to the type of work you are going to be doing and maybe they won't even call the grocery store people. Anyway, do what you feel is necessary. You can always explain to a future employer the reason you left without giving notice...but you'll have to be alive to do that and if you stay at this unsafe job..you might not have that opportunity (sorry, but i want you to leave...don't want anything to happen to you!) They should never leave a girl alone in a store at night like that. Plus, from being your friend for so long now, I know this is not what you plan to do with your life. I know you are planning to start school in the fall and make a career for yourself, so you do not need this job as a recommendation. LEAVE!!!! We will worry about you too much! Plus, this group needs you!
