Guest guest
Hello friends, The official meeting will be Friday, but today I received the report and recommendations of the man who did 's independent evaluation. Although the district has not signed off on it yet, he is "their guy" and I think it unlikely that they will refuse to implement "their guy's" suggestions. It is a 6 page document, but here is the summary: she stays where she is, with an AIDE, for the rest of the year QUIT sending her to the principal, use short, in-class time-outs START implementing her behavior plan consistently, with his recommended changes teach other kids not to tease and antagonize her increase supervision choose targeted behaviors and take data for the rest of the year I'll let you know how the Wednesday conference goes (normal, spring conference) as well as the Friday meeting. If anyone is interested in reading the full document, I don't mind sharing, I just didn't want to bore the list. While much of it is specific to , much of it talks of the law and "best practices" and successful inclusion. Thanks for all your support, it's great to know I have this group out there!
