Guest guest
If you have PSSD and would like to be involved in a possible class- action lawsuit against the pharmaceutical companies, please contact attorney Braslow (of Pogust and Braslow) by email at dbraslow@cpm- law.com or call him on 610 941-4204. Guest guest
I expected something like this might eventually happen. My question is - does it apply only in the USA jurisdiction, or is it intended to be international.
Guest guest
Hi , I have been in discussions with this firm about a lawsuit, but they are not committed to it yet. We need to get as many people as possible to contact them and tell them their story. Even though you are in the UK, I would go ahead and contact them anyway. They focus exclusively on pharmaceutical litigation and their website is here: http://www.cpm-law.com/ Vornan >> I expected something like this might eventually happen. > My question is - does it apply only in the USA jurisdiction, or is it> intended to be international.>
Guest guest
I email him but I was wondering how it might work since I never tried anything like this but is it possible to make it a class-action when we all took different SSRIs from different companies? just curious. > > I expected something like this might eventually happen. > My question is - does it apply only in the USA jurisdiction, or is it > intended to be international. >
Guest guest
Hey Vornan and and all my SSRIsex friends! - My heart almost fell out of my chest when I first saw that this was happening and couldn't wait to see who the Firm of Attorney's or what Attorney it was! (Why are they Attornies when we want them and lawyers when we don't? - LOL!) Why? Because if you are one of any average Anerican male and watch your fair share of television, you'll see ads almost all the time for " L. Sokolove " - ambulance chaser....just kidding about that last part... I strongly recommend anyone and everyone to NOT join in on anything at all with Sokolove because, and this has NOTHING to do with SSRI's, he wants to or keeps on suing (sueing?) the pharmaceutical companies that make the best of the best chronic pain and Intractable Pain medicines around like Oxycontin, Kadian, Oxycodone and the like. If he had it HIS way, he'd rather real honest-to-goodness severe pain patients be UNDERmedicated ALL THE TIME! If you need proof, I'll put proof on the board. The ONLY reason I put that on as a side note is because I am one of those unfortunates who DOES have Intractable Pain. THREE spine surgeries from a simple discectomy to fusion to rods and screws and I'm STILL IN PAIN! All the surgeons can say is they cannot do anything more for me and to wish me well at finding a doctor who will help me manage my pain. I did, but not until years of sleep deprevation, depressions so bad I tried suicide twice (damn knots kept coming undone...I KNEW I should have taken Cub Scouts at LEAST!) Ha! But Vornan? You betcha. Of course I'll do my usual thourough checking out and make sure he isn't made from the same cloth as Suckallthelove and if all checks out. I'll be all the help I can be for him. Even my own shrink admitted to not knowing HoW SSRI's work the last time I saw him! It just burns me to my core to know that there are " drugs " out there that, of course, work GREAT for depression, however, they ROB YOU OF ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECTS A MAN AND A WOMAN CAN HAVE, ever so quietly too... I should have almost started a new topic on this so I'll make this much shorter than I would have... The fact that we are so grateful the day we realize that we are crawling out of that dank, dark, hellish pit of depression, we have nothing but KUDOS for our docs. For me, depression AND pain kept my libido so low I didn't CARE. But as time went by, sensation starts to creep away. When sensation creeps away we think to ourselves, " What's the big deal? " Until our wives, hubby's, g/f's, b/f's and partners ARE AT THEIR WITS END! (Ahhhh, I can't keep this short, it's too important, I'll just start a new topic I guess... :-) ) This will be a tough fight to fight y'all. I'd be willing to take the stand and testify on behalf of all of us! How many marriages has this ruined? How many breakups has this caused? How many of so many, MANY THINGS has this caused before someone finally put man and woman together and said to each other, " OK, we KNOW what the differences are between a man and a woman (just an example, OK?) and WHY that is, but why is it I wanted to make love just as much as you did at one time and now you don't? What changed? Something somewhere went, B-I-N-G-O!!!! And the answer was discovered. This is so NICE to KNOW! I feel that there is some justice in the world after all. , as far as class action suits being International, you'll have to call any law firm and I'm sure they can tell you. OK, Sorry so long but I'm so happy and especially thrilled that it isn't Sokolove doing it. I'm actually surprised he didn't hop on this one as fast as he could. Guest guest
There will have to be a different class-action suit for each SSRI. Guest guest
Sokolove? From Massachusetts? I know him. I did some work for his office once. Guest guest
Vornan, Is the firm still taking clients? Although I'm better (a lot better) I still sometimes have difficulty and my case is well documented by my doctor. Guest guest
Hi Good to hear from you. It's great that you're doing much better. But, no, they're not taking the case because not enough people contacted them. BTW, did you have libido problems, or was it just ED? Guest guest
Hey Buddy, I never had libdo problems just couldn't get it up. Currently I have a problem still with not responding to stimuli. I still have to fantasize...I'm getting better at it....I really believe it is what you said and that it takes time...If you remember I took just a little of the Dostinex. After that I had a boost....I sometimes wonder if it is now in my head....I'll share something personal so if anyone doesn't want to hear it stop reading now................................................................... ....................................................................... ..........When I love on my partner he immediately gets a hardon and carries it thru the same way I used to but I don't get one as fast (before I didn't get one at all) After I have an erection I have to be careful not to think to hard about it or it will go down. His doesn't go down plus I still have to stimulate myself with my hand sometimes if I start losing the erection....Here is the curious part....while I'm loving on him I have to use my hand but the other night I did a quick experiment. It went like this..I had him to talk about the sex so that I could visualize it instead of acting it out...My penis became hard as a rock without me touching it at all and suddenly too....This has left me completely confused as to why touching him will not create the erection but having him talk it to me while lying beside me does....my thoughts on it is that the Effexor problem rewired my sexual response or I have developed this behavior because after the Effexor had created my problem only fantasies worked because no external stimulus worked due to the numbness....If anyone has had similar experiences please let me know.... Guest guest
One of our members, Fritz, recovered mostly through phone sex. He said that after using Zoloft for six months, and having PSSD for two years afterwards, the only thing he could respond to was auditory stimulation. Visual or tactile stimulation was just gone. But he thinks that the phone sex eventually " rekindled " the other things, and now he's almost back to normal. He only rarely posts, probably because he recovered. It seems as though SSRIs damage the visual and tactile aspects of sexuality the most. V This has left me completely confused as to why > touching him will not create the erection but having him talk it to > me while lying beside me does....my thoughts on it is that the > Effexor problem rewired my sexual response or I have developed this > behavior because after the Effexor had created my problem only > fantasies worked because no external stimulus worked due to the > numbness....If anyone has had similar experiences please let me > know.... > > Chris
Guest guest
Hi I don't think Effexor has re-wired your sexual response, just made your penis numb. I have a similar problem. I don't respond to stimuli of my penis by my wife. And if I try to take charge of us having sex, I fail every time, but one night my wife got ticked off because I couln't get it up, so she started taking charge by mugging the daylites out of me. I got hard as a rock and we had a ball. This was not due to me taking any SSRIs, so it may not be helpful to you, but I think some people get aroused by the other person taking charge, like your buddy kind of took charge when you asked him to talk to you about the sex. So if you have your partner take charge, it will take the pressure off of you so you can both enjoy it. Just my 2 cents. I am now taking Celexa, but I think I'm going to get off it because I read too much bad stuff about SSRIs, and it takes me forever to ejaculate. J. Guest guest
wow, im jealous. his story give me hope. was he taking anything or was it really just phone sex ? his recovery shows us our body can adapt and change back to normal. I wonder if this change was in long term or just in short burst of change. Maybe all we need is some sort of small change in us to cause spontaneous chain reaction. > > One of our members, Fritz, recovered mostly through phone sex. Guest guest
Man, I thought I was really way off with that and that it would seem very strange but since Fritz did the same I feel better. Damage to our visual and tactile responses is exactly how it sounds. I have been improving continuously but I have to force myself with my partner...kinda like learning to walk....we are doing exercises like I just touch him and go thru the foreplay motions without going to sex...I've noticed (or I hope I've noticed) that my penis is responding better....this is such a slow process and sometimes I become frustrated so I have to Zen or else I just f**** it up. Another thing that I wrote early is that my PC muscle had become weak from lack of erection for over a year....I exercise that too. It is still hit and miss sometimes but at least it is mostly hit....I will admit that I had a total relapse and went impotent again for about 3 weeks but it went away....But the good new is that it is continuously getting better. > > One of our members, Fritz, recovered mostly through phone sex.
