Guest guest
Hi Irene Caroline here in . Neil and were on clonodine for a couple of years and it did work great for impulse behaviors and aggressive behaviors. Both boys are not longer using it because it is a heart medication that thins the blood and both Neil and have problems with circulation in their hands and feet. s hands at times are a grayish blue and very cold. We make him rub his hands and keep him warm. Both boys also have a problem regulating their body heat so at times they sweat so much their shirts are soaked. has a problem with OCD, ADHD and Neil has a problem with aggression and ADHD as well as both boys having DS. The clonodine is great just watch for circulation problems. MERRY CHRISTMAS FOR EVERYONE AND ALL THE BEST IN THE NEW YEAR. I do not have Christmas pictures either but I did post a few new pictures under Neil and in the picture section of this website. Enjoy the holidays. Caroline mom to Neil and 14 yrs old both with DS and lots of typical 14yrs old stuff. questions about meds Hi, I remember that when we were diasgnosing Zack (9) w/ ADHD several moms told me that they had dual diagnosis too. Now i have a RX question for you. A little history it's been about 2 yrs since we started on Focalin 10mg and then went to 15mg (he's 50# only) when the effects went away and the impulsivity and behavior started to be a real barrier to learning he moved to Daytrana patch 15 mg it was great until the irritation (he's sensory sensitive) became too much and he would remove the patch early each morning in school. So we have been to our DS center in JAX FL and they want him to start on Vyvanse looks good from my online research. They also want him to take half a pill of Clonidine hcl at night? I know we are not doctors here but personal experience is very valuable! Anyone using VYVANSE and or CLONODINE? ANY PROS AND CONS? Thanks, Irene JAke ADHD 11 Zack DS/ADHD, RAchel, & Nick
