Guest guest
Our 12 yr. old son with OCD has been pretty stable for now. Husband and I were on a business trip to Washington D.C. the first week of April. Nick had a small OCD episode that his grandparents had to handle while we were away. We talked Nick through it via telephone while bus touring the Washington mounuments (ha ha). I think it was a blessing in disguise for husband's parents to see Nick flare, they don't remind him to take meds and I think they minimize the OCD. School ends in 4 weeks. Still considering homeschooling for next year. Only drawback is that I want him to be able to learn coping skills in tough social situations. However, I don't think I could cope well with the group of kids he's in,so how can I expect him to? Also, the author, , did come to our school. He, his wife and two of his kids stayed at our house overnight. We got some great " God stories " of how his books came about. It was really a blessing to our family to have them. Hope you all are well. B lessings from North Dakota (please keep our state in prayers as much of eastern part and some of western is flooding) Becky
