Hi Everyone

Wow that was quick. I sent the cards early because we live in

New Zealand (down in the South Pacific)and only posted them last

Monday. We had such fun making the cards. Did you spot the map

inside - just in case you did not know what NZ looked like (just

teasing). My DH spent ages hand drawing it.

and are good although we are waiting for date for

to have his partial AV canal and leaky heart valve fixed. We

had hoped it would be done in November but it now looks like it will

not be done until February next year. He is in good health and the

holes in his heart do not cause any difficulties.

Their language is coming along. is using a lot more words and

signing 3 word sentances. is less communicative and we are

just getting single signes from him. If we do not make him sign he

will not use them. He would rather give you something if he wants

it. He often brings me a bunch of bananas which means he wants a

banana. I take them and then make him sign either please or banana

and after only a week or two he can now sign and say please!! He just

takes the easy route.

In New Zealand children usually go to some sort of pre school from

about 3 1/2. and THomas go to 'public kindy'5 mornings and

are are supported by an 'Teacher Aide' Children usually go to school

at 5 so we are looking at which school to send them to. Our local

school is a good one but our other son Ben who is 8 goes there and i

would not want him to be teased about M & T by his friends as children

can be so unkind sometimes. The school has about 600 children from

year 1 to year 6 (5 to about 10 years old). It is quite a big

school. There is another one quite near that has only 300 children

which we might send them to instead. Having some meetings over the

next few weeks so we can decide. In New Zealand the summer holidays

are over Christmas and January, so our children finish school on about

21 december and then return in early February for the new school

year. and turn 5 in April so that is when they should

start so we have a few months to finally decide.

Sorry to write so much, but as i am so lax about posting thought it

was high time.

Cheers Ali WHittington, Mum to , 15, Ben, 8, and and

4 1/2 non identical twins both with DS

Your card has the first place of honor on our refrigerator. I love it when we have guests, since we get to share the pictures of all the beautiful children with our friends! Again, thanks. We have not sent ours out yet, so I hope the mail gets to you as quick!

I was lucky and did mine at Meijer's. We got ours back and I mailed them out last week. You all should be getting our photo....not the greatest, but it works!!!! Have a Blessed Christmas and New Year.

Hi ,

I just mailed my cards to New Zealand and one to Germany. From Oregon it is 84 cents, so I don't now if it would be different from Virginia.

Angie & from NZ,

Without going to the post office, do you happen to know off the top of

your head how much money in US stamps I need to put on your cards? :)

Thanks,

Hi

I have just checked an envelope from someone else on the list and it

had US 84 c postage on it. Look forward to getting the cards. I

hope you got our one with and on the front. Look out

for the map that my DH drew (right inside). Lol. I hope everyone

has a great christmas. It is summer in NZ so we always hope for

fine warm weather on Christmas Day. It is a bit cold and rainy at

the moment so it may brighten up by next week. We also have our six

week summer vacation from now until begining of February.

and finish kindergarten (pre school) on Friday, but my eight

year old Ben finishes at lunchtime today. He is so excited and

can't wait until Christmas. He is a real believer in Santa. I

don't have the heart to tell him otherwise. Best wishes for

Christmas and the New Year.

THomas (non identical twins both with DS 4 1/2)

Thanks to everyone re cost. I'm too busy to hit the post office, too.

The rest of the cards will go out, hopefully tomorrow. I saw the really

cool map; the kids are really cute. -
