Good IEP advice !

Also, if your district routinely has an " draft " of the IEP (when you get to

the meeting, goals & objectives, just to name a few, are already written in)

you may ask for a copy of the " draft " 10 calendar days before the date of

the meeting..........

That way you are prepared on what, if any, changes you'd like to

make.....OR, if you need to, you can then have someone else evaluate the

doucument!!

Good Luck Everyone!!

> Hi all--Luke and Jake will be turning 4 next week on April 10, and

> Like everyone else, we're trying to prepare for annual review. We

I am so sorry for all that you have been through with illnesses, hospitalizations, etc. I hope that things will be looking up real soon, as it sounds they already are.

Sara, (DS, age 11) got very sick while we were on spring break, breathing issues in the middle of the night. Fortunately, we were at a motel that had 24-hour hot tub, so we sat in that in the middle of the night--got her through until morning when she could get an albutoral treatment from a dr.'s office. I keep hoping she will outgrow getting so sick when she gets a cold and I still think that it will happen, just not quite, yet.

Take care,

Marcia

Hi Marcia,

I was just reading your e-mail about your daughter Sara and I can so relate. My daughter, , who is 4 and has D/s will get sick and seem not too sick but then all of a sudden BAM she is soooo sick and off we go for daily visits to the pediatrician hoping and praying it doesn't end up at a hospital. The last time this happened and I were wheeled right out of the Dr.'s office, into an ambulance and off to the hospital where we spent 9 days!! And we're actually going through a bout of sickness again right now. She woke up Sunday with a fever and seemed a little better Monday but today the fever escalated to 103 while at the Dr.'s office with Motrin in her! And she has this unbelievable rash that is very hot to the touch so they want to see us again tomorrow. The Strep came back negative but they are doing the overnight culture. We'll see.....thanks for listening and I can so relate. Scary isn't it? When her temp hit 103 I blessed myself and just prayed. I hate fevers and asthma is serious too. Do all your children have asthma or is it just when they get colds?

Stay healthy.

This is from Roanoke checking in. We have had a full summer and

is anxious to get back to school. Will turns 2 in october at which time he

becomes eligible for services through the county so I'm sure I will be emailing

questions a lot. He is doing really well. He has started taking some steps and

is getting more stable on his feet. He can stand up without pulling up on

anything so I think he'll be walking soon. I can't afford to keep him in shoes.

He crawls so fast that he rubs holes in his shoes at the toes. I just bought

him a pair less than 2 months ago and he has already rubbed a hole on the right

side. He is so sweet. Of course I can't resist posting an updated picture so

here it is. Okay, I have to post 2. Hope everyone is well.
