and if someone was killing my child in front of me and i had a gun, i wonder if it would be in my integrity to shoot the one who was hurting my child......

It came up (this subject of how can someone harm another if they are in their integrity) right after the 9/11 attack. A friend in The Work felt that Osama Bin Laden acts from integrity. I can't find that harming, abusing or hurting someone could be from a place of integrity in me. But because of the Work, I do see that my interpretation of a situation is that I am being abused by someone when I hold the belief that they should do otherwise. I abuse me with my thinking. Without the story - just bodies, voices and sounds.Love,

I think (just my opinion) that we make it ALL up. That doesn't mean I think it wasn't your mom....most likely it was. When you think of someone, they are with you. Really.

Sorry, the above is not from the work. I am a medium (and that is my story and I am keeping it).

"Conversations With God" says we are creating God which is a big flip from God created us. Igt works for me. It feels very freeing and liberating. We are here not to contact, but to become God.Doug

Great post Sam..That applies to so many things...

" .....There will be plenty of time to think about it later, and there's no

point thinking about it now.

Anticipating events that haven't occurred -- and probably won't -- is being

If it violates your beliefs to do so, then you would probably be very unhappy no

matter what

decision you made. If someone is killing your child, you don't have to think

about what to do.

There will be plenty of time to think about it later, and there's no point

thinking about it now.

Anticipating events that haven't occurred -- and probably won't -- is being in

God's business.

No peace there. C'mon back home.

The idea that God is a separate entity from us and can demand from us that which

we don't

want is more than a story, it is an untruth designed to invoke blind loyalty to

an organization

of men. God is all that is. That's all. And all that includes all of us. No

separation is possible.

" I am that, and thou art that, and that's all there is. " (Rumi, I think)

hmmm...when we follow our true integrity it is moral code/ethics in it's

purest form.

-- Re: Re: Confusion and Integrity

Not sure I accept " moral " codes as a requirement for integrity...will think

about it

I agree with the spirit of what you say, but I think 'integrity'

means that you hold a certain moral/ethical code and you follow it

consistently. Consistently also means that you hold yourself to the

same code that you demand of others. 'Misguided' though the father

may well have been, he might still have possessed integrity.

I believe that when the member said his/her father was " confused

about love " the term 'confused' was the member's, not the father's.

No doubt the father thought he was quite clear.

What does a "moral code" have to do with it? Prolly just semantics
