Guest guest
Thanks, . We appreciate all leads! It looks like this list has quite a few possiblities for this mom to check out. Guest guest
Each pregnancy/lactation is a whole new deal, so she might need to hear that just because she gained and maintained some cup sizes last time, it might not be the same this time. Here's a great resource for mothers who are larger than average. It's always helpful to feel that you're on some common ground: http://www.plus-size-pregnancy.org/firstindex.html The link for nursing when well-endowed, while not perfect, is a friendly, helpful piece -- the positioning *is* more tricky. http://www.plus-size-pregnancy.org/NursingWhenWellEndowedFAQ.html The site also has a links on nursing bras (also clothing and carriers) including some with cups that go to LL (which I would assume might be in the neighborhood of N. http://www.plus-size-pregnancy.org/PlusMat%20Clothing%20FAQs/PlusMat_Nursing.htm\ l There are also custom-made bra companies out there -- just because the first one couldn't help her, doesn't mean that there isn't a company that will be a good resource. I wonder how accurate the sizing would be out in this uncommon range -- a bra would definitely need to be tried on. There might be a certain amount of stretchy skin and loose fat in a breast that large. When helping very large women with bras, it seems that when we actually hoist the breast up into the bra that the we end up going up or down from the measuring. It seems that it's generally best to have the band fairly firm (so it doesn't ride up in the back), and the cup fairly generous. This is an experienced mother, so she may not have much trouble figuring out her " fit " with her new baby. But I just want to share a positioning idea suggested by someone (Kay Hoover?) that seemed useful for the newborn period -- that a mother with really large breasts and a small baby could try sitting at a table, and resting the breast on soft towel and snugging the baby into the breast there. Good luck to her. Margaret Wills, land > > Hi, Everyone! > At Monday night's LLL meeting, a new attendee approached me after the meeting with this story: > She is due any day with her second child. Her breasts grew larger during her first pregnancy, but then grew *another* three cup sizes when her milk came in. Her breasts never got smaller when she stopped producing milk. She has already gone up 2 or 3 cup sizes with this pregnancy (I can't remember exactly what she said). She has been professionally sized and knows she should be wearing a size 38 N bra. Yes, as in " L, M, N " . But that is right now, and she is very concerned that she will gain another 3 cups sizes when her milk comes in again this time. > She has already tried figleaves and bravado. She tried a breast cancer care center that I know is willing to build a pocket to hold a prosthesis into a nursing bra for mothers who have had a previous mastectomy, but was told they don't have anything larger than an H cup. (People who get breast cancer never are larger than an H??) Also tried a local breastfeeding products store that carries different brands including some that go up to 50LL, but that store can't get any N cup bras either. > Anyone got a source for nursing bras that are N cup or even larger? Any help would be appreciated. > Dee Kassing >

Guest guest
I like Decent Exposures - they will custom-size a bra (you do your own measuring, but they are really helpful). http://decentexposures.com/nursing.shtml Kosa > > > > Subject: Re: need bra with cup size N or larger > To: > Date: Saturday, February 20, 2010, 11:53 PM > > > Â > > > > I don't know how current this list is, but it looks promising: > > > http://tinyurl. com/28mjey > > > > > LLLL in Los Angeles >
