New Macro forum at CyberMacro made of all your blogs etc

I just had to do a massive upgrade of CyberMacro’s forum

as we have been getting hit rather hard lately by spammers. The new forum has

added protections against them making posts, but still keeps the forum open to

people posting without having to register first.

With the upgrade, I have created a new forum that pulls posts

from as many blogs and forums that I can find that are related to macrobiotics

and offer some type of syndication feed. rss

http://www.cybermacro.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=57

I thought it would be nice to have one spot where people could

get access to many forums and blogs. How this works is that when

you add something to your blog or forum, it gets posted to CyberMacro’s forum

shortly after. People only see a short intro to the post so do have to visit

your blog etc to read the full one and hopefully with that will make it a point

to become a reader of it on their own.

The google syndication method used for blogger is not the

industry standard, rss so I had to create a work around for those using

blogger, but it is rather imperfect so the posts do not contain text, just the

title’s but in most cases that maybe enough to spark interest. Google

does provide a rss feed for the pro accounts which are not free.

One thing on Yahoo groups, I can only include them if the message

archives are public.

! That is wonderful (the feeds not the spammers, lol) Thank you for including my little neglected macro blog. I promise once fall hits, I'll be more regular in my blog postings (my dh is a teacher so summers are very family oriented with all of us home).

I will go back and read about how you're a naughty macro!

Hope you had a great weekend.

Just a consideration.... I might censor my writing on this group's

site if I knew it was public on 's site. Might make ppl less

willing to post if they know it goes out to a wider audience.

Hi ,

Don’t worry, none of what is posted here will be appearing at

CyberMacro as the message archive here is not public to do that.

I hope it is ok that I did pick up your blog over at the new

forum.

Yes, posting the blog is totally fine. Thank you! I post there with

an unlimited public audience in mind and your link generates traffic

to my site(s) so it's very great of you to do that.

Was just thinking out loud in the prev mail that if this yahoo group

WAS linked in the future, that some people might feel less inclined

to post freely. Or, perhaps maybe that's my personal quirk!

Thanks for your message.

u think if people are posting on the internet they would have an

inkling of the unlimited audience there is!

, I agree and that's one reason I chose to make this group

private. As it is I do feel strange that there are so many

lurkers. I've many times considered weeding thru and dropping some

from the group. Someone has always talked me out of it saying those

reading may need help and quietly learning. I would like those that

aren't really interested to drop from the group and others to try

and participate even if they are shy. Ask a question, make a

comment. I don't believe you have to be vegan macrobiotic to talk

here!!!
